It IS taking it out of context to claim her remark dealt with all procedures - in a foreign country - that happened prior to the bomber failing to blow up a plane.

Napolitano "system worked" comment was about what happened after the bomber set himself on fire. How is that taking it out of context? It's not. It IS taking it out of context to claim her remark dealt with all procedures - in a foreign country - that happened prior to the bomber failing to blow up a plane.
Whether the "system failed by allowing the terrorist to board" is a separate issue. Don't conflate the two.

these attacks are phony. all of them were stopped by other passengers. if they really wanted to blow the plane up they would have done it in the toilet, where they can't be stopped. but they didn't. i haven't heard one american find this strange. it's called media brainwashing

I thought it rather peculiar. It looked like footage from the early 80s or 90s. Probably around the time Americans were radicalizing the Islamics to go after the Soviets. We taught them to build bombs.
Secondly, this reminds me of the information found about preparing for an attack on the twin towers by mean of hijacked planes. All this looks staged.

The Republicans are trying too hard. They want government to stop 100% of all terrorist attacks at all times, but that's just not gonna happen. I mean, this is the first attack or attack attempt in 8 years! We should be proud that we've upped our defenses so much. In the 90s there were plenty of attacks on American soil.
We should always be on alert, but let's not pretend we can totally prevent attacks. Some will happen, unfortunately. You can't win em all, as they say.

I sincerely believe that this entire incident has escalated too far. The security issue occurred outside of the United States. Punishing the American people with more tedious rules will not make the airlines any safer, but instead will rob the passengers of what little freedom they hold dear.
