This is the type of belly dance I will like to see nowadays in belly dancers, I teach my students to dance like her, and I hope soon a new movement will come to dance like belly dancers use to dance before, just like Azza Sharif, Mona Said, Souhair Zaki & Nagua Fouad.
I found this clip on a compilation of belly dance clips called "belly dance classics" I haven't seen it around in a while though. It looks like some TV special, hence the veil for added modesty.
she is without a doubt the most beautiful woman/dancer. pretty sure she is not dancing anymore, what a shame, she should still be dancing. what a fantastic clilp, havent watched her in quite some time. where is this clip from? can you still get it? i think by the looks of it that it is from the 70's. thank you for posting it. as far as i am concerned when the souhari, aza, nagway era went so did amazing egyptian dance.
Toll! Sehr schön anzuschauen.

I had a clip of her on a DVD that didn't give her name. And I totally thought she ws Mona. Glad to know her name finally. She's got so much soul.

Yeah Aza is great! If you want to see more of her she's also on some of the footage that Morocco and Sausan put out. <3

I think neither, Aza is very much her own dancer in my eyes as is Mona.
