Overall a good cover - Johnson's vocals are suited to this style of Zep's music, and Angus's guitar solo is right on the money. The drumming however doesn't do the late great Bonzo justice, but then again whose could? With the possible exception of Keith Moon (who of course has also unfortunately passed away). :/
Whatever the case, I would've loved to have seen that gig! :)
You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Rolling Stones
You say Justin Bieber, i say Queen

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK&ROLL DIE
its not ac/dc, its brian singin with geordie. if im right the story goes, one of the geordie members needed his teeth fixed, so they organised a reunion gig so he could get it sorted out. i was in classic rock magazine with the title of LET THERE BE TEETH! pretty sure it was classic rock? not sure what year tho. surely someone must remember readin that?
the Zepppelin studio version of this song is the benchmark of rock vocal performance in my book . Johnson does a freat job here ! He captures the spirit of the song !
@Riff28Raff What's really funny about this conversation is... Brian Johnson sounds better than Robert Plant singing "rock and roll" live. He basically just talks through this song. I'm mainly talking about the music aspect. Robert Plant sounds pretty awful live after about 1971 or 1972.
@Riff28Raff uhhhh... What the fuck is so complicated about "Whole Lotta Rosie"? They did those starts and stops in a bunch of Zeppelin songs. Every member of Zeppelin are far and above, light years ahead of their counterparts in AC/DC. I need some explanation here, Dildor.
Man thats what made page what he was! How many people can play it the way he did.Really only him! I called him the slop master. But he was the fgirst to do the Van Halen speed stuff, yet his soul and groove was bar non the best.He was a session player in his younger days, he was clean on acustic. He was such a genius that maybee thats what sounded good to him? In the studio he was and never will be touched. He wrote the lick to You Really got me Kinks, Stuff for who and Stones too. THAT WAS LAME
Page is quite the better guitarist. Not taking anything away from Young, but he plays everything live exactly like the album. While page took risks, and he improvised. Page destroys Angus in a guitar battle.
Actually, Angus has been accreditted to seeing Zeppelin many times live and calling them a life changing experience saying Page and Plant were amazing. Young never once dissed paged and never said they were boring.
I think it's de charity band of rock, in wich were Brian Jonhson and Cliff Williams, i don't remember the nam of the others, but weren't the Young brothers
if this was phil rudd , then he would have played the intro right-- bonham starts with a pick-up on the 3+ and not on the 1, which twists the accents around, so the actual beginning of the riff comes as a suprise.zeppelin did that a lot.
Id like to know where this is from, Im not sure I know its Brian but I bet its not AC/DC, It sounds like a small gig I have seen him in videos with other groups playing covers like this but never with AC/DC, for 1 thing they have to many classics of their own to spend time on a Zep tune and when they do a cover its usually Chuck Berry or some old time blues, Hey I could be wrong though, I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken,
this is from "The Joint" in LA California in late 2004. The entire setlist from the evening was Route 66, Rock and Roll, You Shook Me All Night Long, and Sin City.
How'd get your hands on this?? Rudd did an ok job on the drumming, considering Bonham's shoes are pretty hard to fill... All 3 guitars own as usual!! Johnson did a better job than I thought he would on vocals.

If the musicians don't care about who's better - why should the fans? Answer: Because they're fanatics. Not musical admirers.

Hey, why is this a debate between AcDc and Zeppelin?? Obviously they both have respect for each other.
I cant see AcDc playing Stairway, just like i cant see Zeppelin playing Back in Black.
sharrer2 1 year ago 5
@sharrer2
I think it's quite the opposite. Led Zeppelin could do ANYTHING Ac/Dc ever did but I don't see it as particularly true the other way around.

i think they are both great at what they do honestly.
And i dont think Page could pull off an AcDc song and i dont think Young could pull off a Led Zeppelin song.
sharrer2 2 years ago
77-79 page was extremely sloppy.
But 69-73 He was top notch, and live way better then Angus. And Angus is a great innovator.
Im just saying Page is better, although In my personal opinion Angus is just as good.
