  • Overall a good cover - Johnson's vocals are suited to this style of Zep's music, and Angus's guitar solo is right on the money. The drumming however doesn't do the late great Bonzo justice, but then again whose could? With the possible exception of Keith Moon (who of course has also unfortunately passed away). :/

Whatever the case, I would've loved to have seen that gig! :)

  • ultimate zep cover band

    brian johnson vocals

    jimmy page guitar

john paul jones everything with strings or keys lol

dave grohl bloody good drummer and about as close to bonham as you can get now

  • Brain's voice sounds freaking awesome! He kicks this song right in the balls! Great job Brain!!

  • Brian is a Corvette Plant is a Honda.

  • かっこいい!!

    so cool!

    I ♥ AC/DC

    I♥ LED-ZEPPELIN

  • Heart does a pretty good version of this.

  • Holy shit! I never knew!

  • this is not chris is geordie!

  • So the poster was in error with the AC/DC pics? Not a hanging offense ya tards!

  • Phil isn't playing here it's just brian

  • Phil Rudd can't do a drum solo

  • bueno

  • If the musicians don't care about who's better - why should the fans? Answer: Because they're fanatics. Not musical admirers.

  • phil rudd did a bad job brian was ok

  • its not ac/dc, its brian singin with geordie. if im right the story goes, one of the geordie members needed his teeth fixed, so they organised a reunion gig so he could get it sorted out. i was in classic rock magazine with the title of LET THERE BE TEETH! pretty sure it was classic rock? not sure what year tho. surely someone must remember readin that?

  • THIS IS INCREDIBLE :) ACDC DO SOUND LIKE LED ZEPPLIN :)

Brian Johnson could of joined Led :) AC/ZEPPLIN

  • the Zepppelin studio version of this song is the benchmark of rock vocal performance in my book . Johnson does a freat job here ! He captures the spirit of the song !

  • Fucking hell Brian NAILS it!

  • @Riff28Raff What's really funny about this conversation is... Brian Johnson sounds better than Robert Plant singing "rock and roll" live. He basically just talks through this song. I'm mainly talking about the music aspect. Robert Plant sounds pretty awful live after about 1971 or 1972.

  • @Riff28Raff uhhhh... What the fuck is so complicated about "Whole Lotta Rosie"? They did those starts and stops in a bunch of Zeppelin songs. Every member of Zeppelin are far and above, light years ahead of their counterparts in AC/DC. I need some explanation here, Dildor.

  • its Brian and Cliff Williams

    search classic rock cares

they also made songs for the movie totally baked

who phoned the law ,chase that tail and chain gang on the road

  • Wow. fuck yes!

  • hell yeahh! kick ass brian

  • it cant be chris slade on drums because he left the band in 1994 and this was recorded 10 yrs later according to the info. i think it phil rudd

  • HARD song to sing. This is why hes a rich and successful rock vocalist. But he has sounded very, very tired for many years.

  • brian god!!!but this isnt ac dc ...:)))

  • that`s a cool cover...brian`s voice sounds a little like robert plant

  • Good cover, but nothing is like Led Zeppelin. Not even AC/DC ;)

  • @ISABELLADEPP if angus & malcom were there they would've been rockin' the house.

  • Hey, why is this a debate between AcDc and Zeppelin?? Obviously they both have respect for each other.

I cant see AcDc playing Stairway, just like i cant see Zeppelin playing Back in Black.

  • @sharrer2

I think it's quite the opposite. Led Zeppelin could do ANYTHING Ac/Dc ever did but I don't see it as particularly true the other way around.

  • @Riff28Raff I'm gona need to get that book.

    Awesome cover!

  • Man thats what made page what he was! How many people can play it the way he did.Really only him! I called him the slop master. But he was the fgirst to do the Van Halen speed stuff, yet his soul and groove was bar non the best.He was a session player in his younger days, he was clean on acustic. He was such a genius that maybee thats what sounded good to him? In the studio he was and never will be touched. He wrote the lick to You Really got me Kinks, Stuff for who and Stones too. THAT WAS LAME

  • @Riff28Raff

Pagey called it "loosely tight" -LMAO isn't that great?

    Long live Jimmy

  • @Riff28Raff STFU

  • ac/dc honored led zeppelin...meaning they looked up to them...

    case close.

both are great but zep is ac dc's big brother...just started before...total diff styles...but both great

  • i think they are both great at what they do honestly.

And i dont think Page could pull off an AcDc song and i dont think Young could pull off a Led Zeppelin song.

  • 77-79 page was extremely sloppy.

But 69-73 He was top notch, and live way better then Angus. And Angus is a great innovator.

Im just saying Page is better, although In my personal opinion Angus is just as good.

  • yeah, but hendrix was the master of the guitar, the voodoo master.

  • Well of course!

  • Page is quite the better guitarist. Not taking anything away from Young, but he plays everything live exactly like the album. While page took risks, and he improvised. Page destroys Angus in a guitar battle.

  • Actually, Angus has been accreditted to seeing Zeppelin many times live and calling them a life changing experience saying Page and Plant were amazing. Young never once dissed paged and never said they were boring.

And i love AcDc, But Page IS a better guitarist.

    Although i love Young.

  • Haha you know your stuff, did you read the AC/DC Book?

  • Angus said Deep Purple was too complicated and he doesn't like them. I like both of them though.

  • Chris Slade sucks

  • As far as what has been written Jimmy Page is one of Angus Youngs biggest influences.

  • Not at all. Angus has said it's Chuck Berry many times. Also, the covered some Chuck songs in the very beginning.

  • source?

  • sounds good!

  • angus and malcolm hate Led Zeppelin

  • Really? Never heard that. Got a reference? I'd always heard they wanted to be on Atlantic records because of LZ.

  • And Bon Scott doesn't like Led Zeppelin two

    for example : acdc-archives . net / country / f / france / B1279 / 06.jpg

    3rd column, 3rd issue

it's french, use the google traductor

    i will search other sources

And Jimmy Page and Robert Plant hate AC/DC two

  • Remove blanks of the link

i have added blanks because links are blocked on youtube

  • no he was with geordie

    on somekind of reunion

  • My second favorite band covering my favorite band's song

  • I think this is Classic Rock Cares the only members of AC/DC are Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams

  • I wish the sound was better cos this is awesome!

  • CUTE!

  • Brian is one of the few vocalists who has ever been able to cover Led Zeppelin and actually succeed!

    Rock on!

  • mierda

    guau

    por dios q bueno

  • I think it's de charity band of rock, in wich were Brian Jonhson and Cliff Williams, i don't remember the nam of the others, but weren't the Young brothers

  • that was awesome

  • Brian Johnson does Led Zeppelin justice! You go, Brian!!

  • My favorite band covering my favorite Led Zeppelin song

  • Pretty Cool

  • if this was phil rudd , then he would have played the intro right-- bonham starts with a pick-up on the 3+ and not on the 1, which twists the accents around, so the actual beginning of the riff comes as a suprise.zeppelin did that a lot.

  • It´s definitly not AC/DC !!! Why he´rs the fotos with them ?

  • I screwed up when i Was making the video - I was told it was AC/DC but its only Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd.

  • It´s definitly not AC/DC !!! Why the fotos with them ?

  • wowowowowowow!!!

  • this is not ac/dc it is brian johnson with geordie

but its still great 2 hear :)

  • Id like to know where this is from, Im not sure I know its Brian but I bet its not AC/DC, It sounds like a small gig I have seen him in videos with other groups playing covers like this but never with AC/DC, for 1 thing they have to many classics of their own to spend time on a Zep tune and when they do a cover its usually Chuck Berry or some old time blues, Hey I could be wrong though, I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken,

  • this is from "The Joint" in LA California in late 2004. The entire setlist from the evening was Route 66, Rock and Roll, You Shook Me All Night Long, and Sin City.

  • I just did some research and it was Brian Johnson and Chris Slade. They were playing with some local band

  • with geordie, brians original band

  • Good knowledge

  • wow, this is rare, thanx for sharing!

  • awesomke!

  • How'd get your hands on this?? Rudd did an ok job on the drumming, considering Bonham's shoes are pretty hard to fill... All 3 guitars own as usual!! Johnson did a better job than I thought he would on vocals.

  • its a bootleg, it was a tough find since bootleg sites have to be well hidden

  • Good point.
