  • Very loud yea think lol would look good on my Mountain Bike lol

  • why the trailer don't move

  • @rebeucop78 With 52lbs of thrust I doubt that it would move a half ton trailer that is probably chalked and maybe even attached to a truck...

  • its kinda pointless but i built one of these myself, i dont even have any idea if it will even work...

  • Thats exactly where I want to be standing while playing with my wn jet engine...right in front of it.

  • I love shattering my neighbors windows.

  • aren't these engines like $4,000?

  • @wow1022 nope

  • @wow1022 about 1600. Google "ATJ COM TW" that is company that sells them, but they have 50% of this one's thrust.

  • @wow1022 Looks like it's probably a JetCat P200-SX, which runs $5,495.00 right now.

  • Man , How cool is this !

    Well done.

A total system start up to shut down and even throttle control.

(which is really hard with expansion (Bradly) systems)

    Mate super impressive !

4 million questions. like whats the fuel... How effecient is it (fuel kcal to thrust) .

This is no simple rocket ... It has a a proper turbine ...

You are insane (in a good way).

Thanks a mil for the inspiration.

  • Buy 4 more and become Jet-Man II

  • gonna tie 2 of em on my sneakers and jump out of an helicopter with a wingsuit to fly

    hell yeah bitchez

  • @unscspec123

Been there done that. Except it's a hot air balloon, not a helicopter.

  • iron mans hairdryer

  • Mount it to a bicycle bike rack ^O^

  • Weird i tought MICRO turbine is gonna be a size of a finger or something but this is just a normal sized homemade jet turbine :o.

  • so four of these and you have a jetpack right?

  • "this is so that when we get things cranked up, it doesn't run away from us"... So you mounted it on wheels?

  • ATTACH IT TO A BICYCLE

  • like this id best jet engine vid so far ,thanks for your vid

  • I was just waiting for the nutshot. 1:47

  • mount four of these to a peice of ply wood and be rocket man

  • ahh, just one more way to piss off the neighbors

  • no way would i risk putting my nut sack in the line of flight, bolted down or not!

  • AHH FUCK! :'( my ears.

  • it would be funny if it took off and hit the guy in the ball sacks lol

  • ??????...

  • Happy Wheels :3

  • was anyone else waiting for it to shoot out fire?

  • LOL you can see how the mini jet engine eat through the fuel WOW Awesome!

  • i want to see flames(A)

  • Very powerful, at 90%, how much fuel consumption (gal/hour)? Just asking.

  • an eurosprt 3D with this is fucking amazing!!

  • Put this on a skateboard :D

  • can i put that on my bike? lol

  • do you know how much thrust this thing produces?

  • @toxiczebra17 He say's it right at the start. "The engine puts out 52 pounds of thrust..."

  • So if a 45 pound kid sits on top then they will be shot up to the clouds

  • This + Bicycle = Awesomeness!

  • @leakyspacesuit I'd need 4...

  • jet pack :D

  • now stand in front of it

  • i wanna put this on my bicycle

  • ahh, just a thought but what if that jet engine came off the bolts and flew into this idiots nuts? I wouldnt stand in front of it while running.

  • @LookOutSucka just thinkin the same thing XD

  • All that sounds nice and lovely ... but when the hell can we use it to fkin fly already!?!? i wanna see this thing in actual action

  • what jet cat is this?

  • oww that hurt my ears

  • I need one to spin a 0.125" milling bit in a CAT40 toolholder

  • A few more and that would make a nice big B-52 RC plane.

  • R.I.P. hedphone users

  • @Tequilla449 lol u saved my ears thanks

  • @Tequilla449 WHAAAAT?!?

  • @Tequilla449 Im not dead yet! I feel like going for a walk!

  • @Tequilla449 Oh NOOO, that is going to mean that I die now, farewell cruel world.. XD

  • All that brainpower and apparent abundance of spare time, and you still couldnt figure out that noone can hear you when the jet is running?

  • 50lbs of thrust? wow so i need 4 of these mounted to my back and I'm ready to fly!

  • Afterburner!!!!!!! needs one!

  • stick ur finger in it :P

  • @Kpilot786457

    That's what she said!!!!! :)

  • well its so small and sounds like helll.. imagine what will be the real jet sound... :o :o :o

  • anyone have two of these in an A10 scale yet? love the sound.

  • @BuclkeNutz Yep. Have a look on youtube at the Skymaster A-10. Also the Mibo A-10.

  • Hi, do you think this could run on hydrogen and would it be easy to produce electricity with it? what are you going to use it for?

    Nice!

  • Has enough money to burn on an R/C turbine... then goes on to call the starter an "electric engine"... moron with more money than sense.

  • wow... that awesome sound

  • im designing a flying suit and i would like to know, where would one buy such a turbine???

  • I really like the sound of it.

  • How much does the jet cost and where can you purchase one?

  • so dumb question, but do how do the blades spin? are they lubricated by a constant supply of oil or are they on permanent bearings.

  • well done

  • get me 2 and you can lift me give me 4 and a machine gun and send me to afgan

  • where can i buy the turbine engines what website???

  • JETCAT TURBINES USE A FADEC.....IT PROLONGS THEIR LIFESPAN....AND LIMITS THEIR TEMPERATURE EXTREMES.....DUMB ASS.

  • Isn't this the same engine model the "Rocket Man" used to fly across the English Chanal?

  • Wow, you really trust your welds/fittings, don't you?

  • You know how awesome it would be to buy bigger engines then that and make a plane that you could fly on.... This has my imagination going crazy!

  • i so want make my own

  • how do you get it to make electricity? I mean besides the obvious.

  • @Ericrestes1 The powerplants in Alaska use Gas Turbines which are basically the same as jet fuel turbines but they use any type of fuel from gasoline/diesel to propane/natural gas. Electrical generation turbines are also cheaper to produce and are able to handle many types of fuels because they are built with heavy materials that can withstand many conditions compared to jet fuel turbines which are engineered to be lightweight.

  • I use one of those to shrink the heat tubing on my battery connecters

  • how many mpg does it get ? XD

  • at least this doesn't have flames coming out the back

  • That's a lot of thrust... I used to work for a company that designed and built industrial boilers which used steam to turn turbines that created electricity. One of their more novel projects consisted of using CFM-56 jet engines to turn generators creating enough electricity to power a small town. I always wanted to do that on a smaller scale for a hybrid electric car. Jaguar beat me to it with C-X75. Fuckers... anywho, these micro turbines have much more potential than being just toys.

  • Its not a turbine its a jet engine. a turbine harvests the kenetic energy of the rotating blades a jet engine uses thrust.

  • @balls2yourface: By definition, a "jet engine" is a turbine based engine using a combustion chamber with two turbine assemblies (minimum), one on the inlet to compress air and force it into the combustion chamber and one on the outlet connected by a shaft to the inlet turbine assembly that draws off some of the thrust to power it. A turbine by itself is just a fan assembly like any "propeller", but with more than 3 or 4 blades.

  • @RyuDarragh I believe that is the definition of a "Turbo Jet" there are these things called a ram jet or pulse jet that are both "Jet engines" that have no moving parts.

  • @dugg117 lol you told that guy and I was like haaaaaa so yea.. good jerb

  • I cant wait to see a couple of these mounted to a pack so we can do the rocketeer thing XD With fireproof and heat resistant clothes of course .

  • an some one PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE ICAN BUY ONE OF THEM

  • @patrickloughlin online, but the cost around 4 or 5 grand soo

  • jetcat p200?

  • where can I buy a micro turbine , I want to build a jet pack out one like 4 of them, I am 5'5 and 130 bls

  • @spacemonkeys0681

Did you ever start that jet pack? I want to try and make one too with a bunch of 50 pound turbines, more than needed so if one dies you still stay in the air.

It will work it will just be expensive.

  • @MTHKITEBOARDS bring your fire proof pants buddy.

  • @hawkermustang very funny

but i want to know if it is power to lift about 200lb or more????

  • what the hell! 112000 rpm!!!!!! didn't know the power of a turbine man!

  • where i could purchase this turbine with all its attributes ?

how many CFM it can produces ?

how many PSI or BARs at the back ? (how many are 52 pounds of thrust in KG ?)

how much polluted is the exhaust "air" ? ...and it's temperature ?

(if there are no reasonable question, at least tell me some approx. data, or where i could read the answers)

  • The worlds most powerful hair dryer?

  • @hawkermustang maybe hairburner

  • @hawkermustang Don't know about that, but sure it is the loudest hair dryer in the world.

  • 50 some pounds of thrust, 3 of these would lift a guy up in the air? What's the big deal about jetpacks then? lol

  • @DjinnJuggler They set fire to the back of your legs!! hahaha

  • that thing is cool bro.

  • you can by them from some online hobby stores they are usually about $2000-$3000

  • where you buy it? and how much?

  • u want 2 buy 1?

  • how do you fit an afterburner ?

  • can you run those on 100% rubbing alcohol

  • nope, not combustable enough. They run on real A-1 jet fuel mixed with a lot of lube.

  • oh ok kool

  • you can run turbines on any fuel. Thats the cool thing about turbines.

  • I made a burner similar for my furnace. and it uses waste motor oil. its clean burning and i didn't have to Pre-heat the oil.

  • he just talk like a airline pilot XD

  • Now that is just to dam cool . I to get me one of those

  • You really had faith in your mounting hardware...standing there....haha

    Great job..

    Steve

PS I want to power one of these with HHO someday.

  • You'll need more to push that trailer, just kidin that's awsome.

  • Heh.. get one to put out 10 times the thrust and not by becomming 10 times larger and you'll be able to do a 2 engine Jet Pack that actually uses a *real* Jet Engine and not that idiotic hypergollic minibomb with the lifespan of a mayfly that those GoFast guys use :P

  • please show thrust hitting something, perhaps a person, trashcan, standing within a safe distance, we just hear the motor no action! I've seen somebody bring one to a bar and fired it up everyone around was winded big time he had two of them for his wingsuit.

  • Hi LWoods

Can you tell me, Does the starter disengage from the shaft after startup?

some kind of clutch, linkage, etc.

I hear the starter kick in for cooldown but it doesn't seem wise that it would be engaged all the time ("Hardwired")

    Can you please tell us?

    Thanks.

  • Only 52 Lbs of thrust? At 112K RPM you would thing that thing would be cranking some power. At what RPM does the motor kick out on autostart and also kick in on autoshutdown?

Hmmmm, 115K with 32:1 gearing gives just under 3600 RPM. I wonder what kind of torque that would translate to. Say...what is the fuel consumption rate at 95%? I have some ideas for using this.

  • can you show me how to make one? I am very interested in making one but I have no knowledge of how to make one and how the engine of a jet works

  • You can get the kit on the internet for $3000 to $8000 plus...

  • i don't think that the video does justice on how loud that turbine really is, do the neighbors complain?

  • Hi Larry, It looks like an AMT Olympus to me. Am i correct.

    I have a Jetcat P120 in a Boomerang XL.

    Phil.

  • looks like a jetcat P200 im thinking about getting one

  • that is so cool! People love the jet powered RC planes - they just go nuts over them. We had some at a fly-in once. The great thing is that we didn't have to close the airport and set up an aerobatics box - all the aerobatics was done with the jet RC airplane.

  • what is that 150.000 200.000 rpm?

  • Hi Peejaa:

The engine develops full power at 112,000 rpm.

    Best,

    Larry

  • @peejaa hi Pejaa

    150.000 200.000 RPM means:

    150.000 200.000 revolution PER Minute
