  • RIP. God damn..... to early

  • Thanks Guru, yor lyrics are still opening minds... Very thankfull for your visitation on this planet.. :))

  • @mecca521 solar how you get your snares to sound like two feathers touching ????

  • @ItzFakkelteit Yeah, those are the most common terms, but the problem is that rap is one of the hip hop arts, so talking shit about rap would basically be talking shit about the main verbal expression in hip hop. I think that the "real hip hop" term is pretty solid. Well, there people might confuse it with the "keep it real" saying that is known to promote the gangsta rap ideals. Not that it originally is meant to mean that, but that's what it means to most people now.

  • fuck solar

  • Guru and Solar are tight.....nice track

  • FUCK SOLAR

  • this music sucks yall say rap is bullshit but at least there known around the world for the shit they sing about it dont have to make sense its juss somthin to listen to why do u want to listen to some1 complain about somethin no 1 cares about

  • @rezdogg01 go suck a dick the shit yall new niggas listen to is fuckin GARBAGE and if you say that "this rap talks about shit that no one cares about" apparently "no 1 " gives a flying fuck about life because that is what this song is about not cars clothes money and bitches punk ass trick

  • @rezdogg01 That's why I think the two should be officially split up in two. Neo rap shit and real hip hop shit.

The subject content of bullshit rap is what puts people off everything that has rap in it. And since hip hop and rap have become synonyms (thank you, careless media) ignorant dopes will assume you're into the car, money and bitches when you say you're into hip hop, and when materialism is not a part of hip hop, it's fucking annoying.

  • @rezdogg01 idk wth i put or wat ur tlkn bout man

  • cool video very creative I think GURU and COMMON should have done more joints like this they sound good.....but I can hear KRS-1 on that track as well, but its still a classic jam ether way....

  • Wow solar ruined this.

  • @Rammstein275 Stop! The original and remix are both hot. Everyone is hating on Solar, but think about this. Years ago Guru left Premier. It was his choice. Guru enjoyed working with Solar. People are just mad because Gang Starr split up.

  • Fucking Faggit Fucker Solar!

  • @sirKalashni another follower, and another track rider, lame, i know one thing you dont know guru nor solar, nor any of the other guys so shut the fuck up, i dont know any of them, and i bet everyone has wrong doing if guru came back on this earth he would probably let everyone have it, if you ask me,,,, but everyone wants to ride the train strop playing, like a baller and hoes in a telly, dig it....

  • @guru1988510 Suck Dig!!!

  • @sirKalashni Guru and Solar are one of the best hip hop teams ever, Youll are just haters. You haters dont know shit but youll always have your dumb ass mouths open

  • RIP GURU and rest in live for ever

  • lack of afro-the basis

  • !!FUCK SOLAR!!

  • Am - Ain't Got Time To Waste (feat. YZ) seems to sound quite similar. Do they share a sample, or is it just the same chord progression? IMO it's an equally well produced beat.

  • * Aim

  • @ilovetheowalcott Yeah they both sample Placebo - Humpty Dumpty. Dilla sampled it too on 'Love Jones'.

  • FUCK SOLAR

  • haha solar go fuck yourself.listen to "Love jones" by dilla.that's how to use the sample!

    RIP guru

  • 1973 placebo humpty dumbty

  • 1973 placebo humpty dumty

  • 1973 placebo humpty dumty

  • placebo 1973 humpty dummty

  • FUCK SOLAR!

    R.I.P Guru!

  • im a big hip-hop fan but have never really heard of solar

is there some reasn why everyone hatin on him or is this golden beat a one off?

  • @oasisrgood1 read up on how guru died and the bullshit that solar was spittin to premier..then ull understand

  • any leeching moron can make a goddamn beat and put it over an acapella. Firstly, you can't claim the Solar is a GOOD producer. He is an awefull producer compared to what he claims he is. He is an OK hobby producer, at best.GOOD producers are GOOD straight through. He isnt.Listen to the remix he did for Cupids Chokehold. Its on the top 5 of worst instrumentals ever made.

For this song, the original was cool enough, but thats all Commons doing, I can hear Guru being tired. This beat tho, doesnt match

  • "If I don't like it, I don't like it - that don't mean that I'm hatin'." - Common Sense

    R.I.P Guru

    Fuck Solar

  • Fuck Solar forever.

  • Man, u should've changed it from SOLAR remix to DICKHEAD remix.

  • @MobstaClikTV screw you Solar is THE MAN

  • check two tracks:

first one placebo - humpty dumpty

second one o.s.t.r. - brzydki zly i szczery

  • This is Solar's best beat - which isn't saying much. He's still a bitch-ass opportunist, and mediocre producer.

  • I thought it would be the first solar beat that i like but then i heard marc moulin and i was like: Damn, everybody used it!

  • @MaSeoLeBron

Please sent me a link! i wanna know whats going on!

  • @MrBboyHP

It's humpty dumpty by marc moulin.

  • I love the old songs

The new "hip hop" is boring

  • Nice Remix. Thanks for posting. Found it on I-Tunes but couldn´t here it full but here i can :). Hip Hop like this is keeping the Culture alive for me cause i am tired of a lot of "new" cats out there bringing the same crap stuff over and over again.

  • Yeah, hiphop ain't dead, but it has made a strange turn. Rappers nowadays are not making good music, and lyricism as taken a back seat to talking about nothing over a beat. Now, hiphop is still moving units out the stores, and the rappers are still making money, but still. Finding a good hiphop song, at least to me, is getting harder all the time!

  • rate my oc remix for born to live

  • Dont tell other people what to say.

We can read between the lines and figure out what really happened.

    I'ma gonna say it:

Solar 's a fucking bitch , a coward , and nothing but a money grabin asshole.

Bad production, awfull beats, no skill all talk.

You can delete this message all you want but we know what the deal is.

GURU is the main man and Gangstarr will live 4 eva.

Solar ca go fuck himself(you can bet he wont work with anyone ever again)

    Gangstarr forever!!!!!!!

  • someone has stolen this beat. have a listen to this oll-zen song it is on youtube:

Kool Savas feat. Eko - Keiner außer uns

  • man song go off and d way they used the frizt the cat clip helps it go off glad i can hear some mellow hip hop in sted of dat wack azz wayne shit i mean i cant hear a new song without dis nigga glad he locked up

  • it's good music,i don't think you know how this was made, and the video is dope in it's own right...

  • Comment removed

  • weird question...but is this the official video?

  • @ghanaman14 yes, it is...but as good as this remix is, the original version is better.

  • mp3?!

  • Dilla and solar liked the same sample source

the original is from the belgian jazzfunkfusion group Placebo from the album "ball of eyes"(1971) not to be mistaken with the rock group placebo. if you say that this beat is more uptempo and engaging the the "original" beat you should give props to marc moulin (fronman of placebo) who died last august i think, because of throath cancer ( he was a heavy smoker) only thing solar did was looping it in different patterns.

  • which sample do they use for who's there by guru if u could help me out

  • gwen mcrae - love without sex.

the song can also be found on youtube

  • Dilla Actually redid it with Live instruments

  • very goood...masterpiece...remix is hot ...original is bullshit

  • Why can't modern rap and hip hop be more like this?

  • its a pain when you tell people you're into hiphop and they assume you're some mongoloid who listens to lil wayne and 50 cent when truely, if they even knew about the hip hop you listen to they'd be giving mad props. This hip hop is amazing and everyone with a decent sense of music would appreciate if they knew of its existence

  • so true

  • @polc318 aint that the truth

  • @polc318 50 cent is real hip-hop, he changed the way we hear or see mixtapes forever... and the 'mixtape' is a very very big part of hip-hop.... btw thats only one Good aspect of 50, there are 1000000 moree

  • @gunitgangstapimp you are showin' love to an artist you admire and i respect that. Truely sorry if i insulted you, brova.

  • @polc318 npp

  • @polc318 TRUE

  • @polc318 nuff said

  • @polc318 It's when you start listening to alot of hip hop this style that you understand the difference between old school hip hop, and what people call commercial shit, I start undertstanding now, just by listening to lyrics

  • Comment removed
