"You Can Have Her" is a song that always takes me back to my childhood Saturday mornings, when my mom would be listening to it on the radio while cleaning house. Roy could really blow, but it sounds like he had some folks who could hang right in there with him. Whomvever was backing Roy up on this cut sounded like a church choir cranking out some time-honored African American call and response.

Roy was trained in gospel and opera which produced a unique sound that many, including Elvis, attempted to duplicate.
