Pretty good technique, I'll definitely have to try that out for any shields I use in the future (too bad I don't have any right now). I'll almost definitely be using the Thunder Hammer tutorial on my upcoming Flesh Tearers sergeant's power sword, though.
i think this idea would work well for broken/damaged electrical appliances/screens an things in some scenery aswell as for power weapons/storm shields!

catattafish, may I ask what branch of brusses do you use and what size for eachs star, since i see you go towars smaller brushes.
I really mean on the model not on papel were you can use bigger ones, same question I would ask for the lighting claw tuto
