I actually did a 99 lives match between a lv.9 Mario and a lv.9 Sonic, on Final Destination, no items. Mario won with 21 lives left, and Sonic got 17 pity final smashes. The match took over 2.5 hours.

Honestly, whoever is crying for PVP in this, doesn't get the idea of a battle to see which character is the best, rather than the players.

With CPU, it's completely even between the characters. So it's a interesting match, where you don't have to worry about human error effecting the outcome.

It is supposed to be like his from the Super Mario World Series... even though he doesn't use it like that in the game.

i've found that fox and pikachu are the hardest i've ever fought and beaten, pikachu won 2 out of 3 and fox won 2 out of 3 too. (playing with ike and fox myself) i find ike is extremely strong and fox is extremely fast.
