best hobby in the world... no joke, there is a comoradery built between the people reenact with that i dont quite understand, a bond i have never felt anywhere else. probably because you are sharing tents with thes me, living in each others stink with these men, and even seeing a small part of what it would be like to lose each other, and there is the bond made.
Wow. That video was amazing. It touched me deeply, because I know that feeling. I had an ancestor who fought with the South, and I love to learn the history, since there are no relatives left who know the story. Then again, my ancestor kept a diary of the day to day life. I still have it, and read it when I get the chance. I also have lost someone I knew for what seems like years, and I still can't believe that she is gone. I feel for that man, and I salute him for doing what he does. *Salutes*
there is nothing like the smell of black powder coming out of the barrel of a enfield rifle at a reenactment! I love it!

I just wish people would at least know about the different levels of reenacting/living history. ex: Farb, Mainstream, Campaigner, etc..
