  • @thecyberknight1998 You're dumb :3

  • not meant to be domestic animals but you can still have one...like I said you have to own a permit to make it legal....

  • Just because your Native American does not make it legal for you to own a wild animal, I am Tsa La Gi , I know the laws, you still have to have a wildlife permit to own one, a wild animal is a wild animal, I know I own a hybrid and being part wolf you still have to have a permit...

  • Now, That is what I call a mans best friend!!!!

  • so cute

  • so according to you before sin wolves ate grass and leaves and cared for all animals......no you dipshit they ate other animals and you better dam well believe they enjoyed it as well, and when they get to heaven there gonna do the same dam thing

  • We are howling forever Oh Oh - TVOTR

  • back before Sin came into the World, this was our job to nurture and care for each and every animal, we didn't have to worry about animal aggression, and it will be that way in heaven once more, :)

  • =-) i want to do that i love wolfs i really want to live with wolfs i wish i culd to that

  • shaun ellis is my hero... im glad i have the same second name!

  • aww i love wolves.

im sure they can be dangerous but i've always wanted one & i really want to see one up close.

  • Love the insert "SO CUTE!" LOL Classic.

  • Amazing! I would love to be part of a wolf pack and learn their ways! I'm just in awe

  • omg!!! i love this....so freakin cute!!!

  • OMG Shaun, I love you!

  • did you see the cubs tongue when it first heard the howl? Thats a sign that the baby is suckling, adult dogs still do this when you trigger a nurturing action. it identifies shaun as mama, its imprinting on him. WOW.

  • This guy is amazing!

  • even this howl gave me shivers

i really respect shaun for litteraly putting his life at stake to help people understand wolves

i simply love every dog and wolf except chiuawas or something like that

    they r just mutated rats

  • @feliixx this howl gives you shivers? you big noob

  • @Godshound well ... yes acctually

im simply stunned by the cuteness of the little wolf and the feelings u should get from watching such a cute thing

  • Awesome. Great howler

  • no sound?

  • I dont think it works with headphones.

  • no it just plays in one speaker so only in ur left or right earpiece

  • they are so cute :)

  • i love wolves and dogs like the belgian sheep dog or german....they are amazing animals of pure strenght and inteligence...the first wolves join with humans to hunt together and that humans provide them the easy way to get food or shelter but the wolves also gave something to humans an protection from other predators

  • Holy crap, i wish i could howl like him.

  • this guy is awesome!!

  • Awesome.

  • You are only partly right. The mechanics will be there from birth, it's genetic but the triggers will not be if the pup was brought up say by a cat, it's trigger to howl would be supressed and he'd be most likely to mew. Shaun is undeniably amazing :)

  • fool

  • Wow...I'm speechless

  • One day I will work with baby wolves, and one day earn enough money to own a wolf rescue and save the wolves! ^_^. And listen to their sweet whine! And boy, that man can sure howl ^^

  • you must have a lot of credibility StinkyPenisVagina...

  • wow the howl sounds real!!! amazing!!!

  • I am so freaking jealous of this guy!! T~T

  • Same here D:

  • echt der hammer.

    danke recluso.

  • So precious! And he does a great wolf howl.

  • he lives with wolves so he needs to be actually the same. licking is also wolve language. so yes he was

  • so is mating...but you wont find any footage of that :P

  • I highly doubt he's done that lol

  • He really has, he's well known for it. Although some scientists don't think it's a very scientific approach.

  • sykostar how did u get a wolf ive been trying 2 find out about it but im not getting very far

  • Me and my family have had wolves most of our lives, and I can't tell you how important it is for not just anyone to get wolves. Even as pups. They will still grow up to be wolves, and most people are cannot handle wolves properly, and it is not as easy as it seems. The reason that we've hhad wolves is that we rescued them, and also because we are NA (Native American) so it's legal. It's usually illegal for other people to have wolves.

  • Exactly, so many people can't look after their domesticated dogs, how will they give a magnificent beast like the wolf what it requires!

  • Ah, another fellow NA on Youtube. :)

    So you raised wolves?

  • My family did somewhat, yes. We mainly rescued them and raised them, then just ended up letting them stay with us as they pleased.

  • Haha that's really cool.

  • @13ShawtyBoo13 thats not fair how come only you guys can have wolves?

  • Comment removed

  • @13ShawtyBoo13 you are a fucking idiot. anyone can have pure wolves given they are USDA certified and have whatever it takes to be certified in their state. Being a damn indian doesnt give you the automatic right to have anything other than your land taken away by the white man. Also, I'm betting what you had wasn't truly a wolf unless you actually had the correct permits, which I am highly doubting

  • @EastenTimberwolf First off, thank you for the touching, kind comment. Secondly, I didn't say "only" Native Americans could have them, but I mentioned usually them, because all my family and most of the real NA that I've known have been raised for generations around wolves and know how to handle them. You must admit that the ordinary person, which normally has European or African blood, is not aware of the dangers of having a wolf, and just think it would be "cool".

  • Comment removed

  • @EastenTimberwolf Now, I didn't say only Native Americans, or just any Native Americans could have wolves. I said most people it is illegal (because where I live it IS actually illegal unless you're either NA and/or have legal rights to take care of and own a wolf, you can have them registered if you want it's not completely necessary, ours all were though), but if one has the knowledge and right capabilities then they could raise a wolf, if it were for the better of the creature.

  • Comment removed

  • @13ShawtyBoo13 I'm native american too and just to let you know it is not legal to own wolves, although i know people who have them. Yeah, wolves are not meant to be domesticated animals.

  • Now i want wolf puppys!

  • So do I, especially if they could stay little forever!

  • "so cute"

    hahahhaaaahahahah

  • It is amazing!

  • Incredible!

  • THERE IS SOMETHING AMAZING INDEED!!

  • wow. cute as a jelly bean. great video

  • Aww there so cute <3

  • this vid is awsome

  • Its so funny once they do learn how to howl... My wolf is still young (only about 3 months old) and in the morning, she even howls to the alarm clock. Very unique animals, I love being around them. :]

  • Yeah, I wanna do that, when i´m old enough ! ! ! xD

  • wow he's good with Wolf pups

  • Shaun is the Absolutely one of the most cool guys on Earth.

  • *coolest, not most cool ~ahem~

  • It can be used either way. I don't even understand why people would care in the slightest.

  • most cool is grammatically wrong...

  • Do you wear glasses and a pocket protector?

  • HAILZ YEH but not the pocket protector...

  • 强悍

  • Omg that man can sooo howl he is so talented. I wish I could do that, I gotta go practise. lol

  • It's nice that someone really cares for the wolf cubs. I wanna do that too but I can't howl like he can.

  • When the cub starts howling, its just too cute! I think this guy is amazing.

  • yeh cute, until hes old enough to rip your arm clean off

  • Potential doesn't make this cub any less adorable :)

  • Sam, if you get your arm ripped off I think it would increase blood flow!:):):) Though I love wolves to death. I can't imagine I would mind doing a job like this if you can consider it a job or maybe it is only classified as a passion which is still good enough for me.

  • Well if you hink this guy is cool, theres a south african man, i think his name is Kevin Richardson, and he's done what Shaun Ellis has, but with lions. Crazy mofo!

  • Cool I''ll check him out!

  • hey guys do u know wer i can watch this ducumentary full?please..i really love wolves..=)

  • you are the ASSHOLE YOU FUCKING SCUM!

  • Is this part of a documentary or something?

Does anyone know the name of it?

    Thanks. (:

  • when they howl they are so cute! not that that matters cause they are always cute! they seem a little cuter than kittens... idk why... im not being rude to cat lovers its just my opinion. :3

  • them cubs howling were the cutest things ever :3 x

  • I don't think anything is more or less important. Humans are no more important than any other living creature.

  • I'd suggest that you belie that statement with every meal you eat.

  • I do. Thanks!

  • More important as in more stupid, dangerous, venal, murderous, shortsided, polluting, lying, heinous, psychotic, cancerous, weak willed, cowardly, poisonous, evil, hipocritical, lazy, good for nothing, selfish, bigoted, vile, stupid, venemous, jealous, bitter, fucked up, wastes of space? I agree. Wolves will never be like humans...

  • Would you categorize yourself this way?

  • Not all at once OneEyedJack, but at times some of those descriptions fit. And there are so many of us humans behaving badly on this planet that I sometimes wish we'd never evolved. When I look at the future we have made for ourselves I curse our ignorance and selfishness. I'll admit Mankind is capable of great things. But I have no confidence in humans anymore. Too many of us, not enough brains.

  • Gaww! Baby Yana, Matsi, and Tamaska.

  • i like turtles

  • hey Jackass! you BIGSKYHAL50, I hope a wolf eats your balls. Animals were first in this planet, they own this earth. We, humas are just here to fuck it up, as usual! Have some RESPECT for mother earth!!

  • Please, educate us, what do they do then?

  • Then I'll assume you're from the area, so is my sister. In fact she says it's a load of crud. See, nature knows what it's doing, if people start screwing with the eco system, we start screwing with our survival. They were here first, not humans. We have no business messing with the way things are because it is what we want.

  • but....PEOPLE ARE HERE NOW!. Thats the difference.

  • Yes and we depend on this planet to survive. We screw it up too bad and we'll die. Sorry, we're the foreigners here, we have no business being picky. You don't like the wildlife eating domestic animals, move to the city. We've invaded their homes, we don't get to make the rules.

  • Well, we will see.......

  • that's just pure prejudice and bullshit.

i admit, in the past, some wolves have hunted livestock, but, only because we HUMANS forced them to by over hunting, just for the sheer fun of it. wolves hunt for survival, while humans do it to pass time. also, it's common knowledge that if a wolf hunts down livestock or even domestic dogs, which can be just as viscious as a wolf, its because they are desperate for food. and, just so you know, humans are the same way. a hungry man will steal as well.

  • things can never be perfect, and i'll be the last to think things can, and yes, a wolf might come after your cattle or pets, but guess what, the humans that you defend so much are the same! i've had experience in some old woman who hates dogs, so she went and KILLED everyone on our street! what do you say to that?animals do NOT hunt to slaughter, unless they are severly ill, aka rabies. they are too afraid of humans to come that close with a sane mind

  • and have you ever thought that the reason these wolves "slaughter" is because you threatened them first? a mother wolf would do anything to protect her pups, just like any HUMAN mother would do for their own children.

  • I dont think he's actia;;u "teaching it HOW to do it" but more of a "lets practice something you need to do eventually". Its just like teaching kids to talk, you practice making sounds with them. Same idea here.

  • If you're right, I'm guessing they know *what* to do, but not quite *how* to do it.

  • No. They know how to do it. No teaching necessary. Even if they never hear another wolf howl, ever, they can howl just fine. I helped out on a grad student's study raising wolf pups.

  • So if a pup had been separated from its kind since birth, and not seen another wolf all it's life, it would somehow still know what to do?

I'd imagine it'd need some guidance, at least.

Like you hear the stories of newborn human babies swimming to the top of a pool of water once thrown in, yet people still go for swimming lessons later in life.

  • Yes, in many cases a behavior is "hard wired". Howling is one of those behaviors. Hunting is another. Predatory behavior is "activated" by swift movement (kittens are the same way- wave a toy in front of their face and they chase it) To get good at hunting takes practice to learn the finer points but they are born with the basics.

As far as swimming infants go, that is a developmental issue. Infants lose that behavior at a certain age which is why we need swimming lessons.

  • Tutelina is right, Just because its cute and every Disney, They don't need a man to teach the pup to howl. You can thumbs down him just because you think everyon should say it cute and right

  • omg such cute little wolf pups.

  • lol i have to admit that was pretty cute. i'm glad this show is coming out, i like wolves.

  • i have just seen a program about this wolfman on TV. that would be amazing if he realy have learned the wolf languge and intergrated into the wolf group.

  • SO CUTE:::::

  • Hes the luckiest guy in the world to get up close and personal with these beautiful animals.

-sigh- i SO want to be like him!

  • i WANNA BE THIS GUY!

  • aww that's so adorable!! so cute!

  • Fantastic Shaun Ellis Is The Man *****

  • eh, leave astarb alone. I spent a year working with the wolves at Wolf Park, the wolves Shaun used for his book Spirit of the Wolf. Called males females, said a male was the mother of a litter, said the alpha female of the main pack was using a deer leg to hit her pups (she's never had any) -- silly, fixable stuff. I don't know anything about his work in Europe, so I'm not touching that! CUTE puppies though!!! My fiance raised the coyote puppies at Wolf Park, I'm so jealous =)

  • I loved this part of the documentary! How cute! That wolf is going to be beautiful as a grown up, I love black wolves, and the white ones.

  • How adorable is that??? Oh I wish I had a pet wolf!!! But thats probably not going to happen. LOL

  • that pup's gonna grow up to be a pretty black wolf

  • lol i love that cub and the little howl i wish i could have a pet wolf cub

  • astarbbx what credentials do you have to say those nasty thing about him surely if you cant back it up then pls keep your stupid thoughts unto yourself ok! If national geographic has had him filmed up for this documentary surely he has credentials for it and he knows what this is all about- for sure this guy is a degree holder or something that you my friend (astarbxx)may surely not be!!

  • Uhh Astarb, you dont have a clue what YOUR talking about, im a Zoologist from Dartmoor Wildlife reserve, and i can tell you that Shaun Ellis is a hugely respected man in his field. He is a Caninologist, which i can gues is more hten you are, alot of his theories are orininal and well founded, so quid Nay saying!

  • I am so glad you left this comment toward Astarb. There is nothing worse than people spreading false statements which distort things for other people.

  • dude relax...hes just trying to understand animal behavior by getting and inside look. of course he may not have scientific data to support but its more trial and error than anything. his work using defensive howls as a means to set up boundries could work even thou i know there isnt enough "credible" data to prove that=.....besides that the pups are wayy to CUTE!!!

  • I thought about this too

  • Thank you

  • AAAW the cub howl is sooo cute

  • 2:19...is AMAZING!!!!! nice!

  • I've wanted to do what he's doing for ages! but i'm still too young. :( ohwell. That video was adorable btw!

  • :D man thats cool

  • is there a full video of this anywhere?

    it's so interesting!

  • save the planet or we will lose all things beautiful

  • Lmfao, at the end was he lickin them?

That was so adorable when the lil' pup tried to howl.

    The animal kingdom is amazing.

  • im definitely going 2 raise my own wolves one day!

  • me too! no matter wat. they are so fantastic!

  • that is not only amazing, is beautyfull too!!!

  • es mi idolo me sorprende ver q todavia hay gente q ama a los animales :)

  • OMG he's my idol!!

    I really love wolves ;x;

  • my idol too, he is unbelievable fantastic! i would do anything to let him teach me to be one of wolves!

    love wolves forever!

  • This is amazingly touching.

  • wow insted of makeing them be a dog, a pet hes makeing them to be wild wolfs
