  • Tag? I havent seen you since friends!

  • First off, Great lesson! Why say that you are going to lead with your Right hand? Why not say lead with your right OR left hand, which ever you find more comfortable? While the triplet is fairly easy to play, moving it around the kit with great speed, smoothness and power is not at all easy.

  • great lesson! Thanks! Also..you look like the great Jeff Buckley. RIP.

  • Thanks for the lesson. I will use that. JR

  • Very cool instruction! Funny, yet totally informative!

  • Bravo! Hope to see more videos!

  • Great Video Man! If i read some cmts here it's really bad to know that some people don't appreciate that you're invested time to help them!

  • NICE VIDEO, THANKS FOR SHARING

  • You look like the green power ranger! :D

  • VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTION! Thank you

  • Clean clear and to the point!

  • i'm so cool - i do all these things on all my concerts. I am quite busy you know play for my thing is dead - that famous group I play for. And my sticking is soooo christ good. tasteful the way I play. OOOOPS ... my triplets are off on timing.

  • Thanks for this, i really had no idea what triplets were, and now..well i do, so this was a good video.

  • and you remind me of a young jim carey if he got ripped and learned the drums

  • you're an awesome drummer man! are you rocking a double bass pedal there?

  • Oh my god.. Nadal play drums :(

  • I agree with MONGO10US, Bonham led with his left, as most all British drummers did, but dont forget he did use felt to partially mute his bass drum

  • thanx man

  • Bonham did not stuff anything in his bass drum. He almost always lead with his left hand doing descending triplets. Ascending sound like clutter.

  • haha, muffle your bass drum with a small animal or child! haha, classic!

  • triplets made easy? they already are easy

  • ,moron that is

  • anybody that has any business behind a drum set doesn't need this fucking idiot to show them this lick....he's a morn

  • @4ustrider were you touched inappropriately as a child?

  • He thinks he's tha bomb!

  • Doesn't it make more sense to crash out of that fill with the left instead of rushing from the snare to the crash as you were?

  • Thanks man! This helped a lot. Ignore all the haters, this video is great.

  • he looks like porn star tt boy.

  • According to the Three stooges...Who, was on first and what, was on second and I don't know, was actually on third base...Pretty funny episode.

This has stuck with me for a long time....Three Stooges...

  • @JBL8863 It was Abbot & Costello. Not the 3 Stooges.

  • @p0llenp0ny Your right...I'm sorry but that episode was classic...The name of this band made me think about that skit...

  • goofy dude...but good stuff!

  • I strongly recommend a toddler thats wearing a fluffy suit of some sort, its always givin me a slightly better sound.

  • I would do anything to get you in my band :(

  • ur a trash drummmer and you are a weirdo

  • @thecodfather420 your a faggot who jerks off to videos games in his moms basement. go back to buttfucking your xbox you raging douchebag

  • this is trickyy

  • Cool informative video with a sense of humour :-)

  • @whosonthird8594 It's okay to not reply to the comments by the PA (passive aggressive) types :-) Anger is an emotional state that neccessitates a reduction in reasoning ability, on the part of the person that's angry. There's only 2 ways to go from anger; down to fear, or up to PA. Both are emotional states with limited reasoning ability, so...

  • u CANT play MOBY DICK in ringos drums. ur gonna break them

  • Hi Connor, thanks for the tip....I have always wondered how to do that. I appreciate it....thanks again.

  • whaaa?? a drummer without a metronome?? Sinner! Great video though...

  • @0509killer haha i have a korg, just misplaced it that day.

  • So good!

  • I dislike cocky bastards

  • @generatrix999 You have quite the nasty tone sir. Your statement is obvious, but the beginner drummer is going to search for bonham triplets as opposed to a more obscure musician.

  • @whosonthird8594

Yeah, as an example Obama's 'tone' may be acceptable to the sheep, but look at reality.

If you want to help the kids, give them the truth.

Bonham may have played a lot of triplets, but he didn't make them famous.

You did say "Probably" so we'll give you that.

  • @generatrix999 He did make them famous, he did not invent them.

  • @whosonthird8594 check out (in the pocket) dvd by dennis chambers he says dimond from the ohio players was the first drummer to do triplets then he did them then john made them famous with rock music because that was big at the time

  • @dm6testa777 ya I agree, good video Thanks for sharing. Ya that dude didnt listen very carefully, I never said he invented them. I said he made them famous.

  • @whosonthird3414 i knew what what u meant thank for the comment

  • @whosonthird8594 a beginning drummer is going to search for Bonham triplet? Now I've heard everything.

  • @whosonthird8594 ha you said dick

  • @generatrix999 Hah, you're a douche

Shows how much of a jackass your are.

    Lick my ballsack.

  • @goodfellas9531 well said

  • @generatrix999 fuck you.

  • @generatrix999 You sir, are a dick.

  • @generatrix999 dimond of the ohio players was the first to do triplets according to dennis chambers on his dvd then he did it then john

  • @generatrix999 Shows how limited your internet search vocabulary is. douche.

  • @generatrix999 who did he rip off?

  • @generatrix999 and yet he is a billionaire

  • well done! reat advise and inspiring to us all !!

  • I didn't know Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) came from the dead and changed careers.

  • @jgirizarry why not he was the crow after all and the crow was in a band

  • @chriskoob, good point!!!

  • @jgirizarry haha so weird you said that. Some guy at my day job came up to me and told me thats who I looked like about three weeks ago.

  • @whosonthird8594, really?, nice video, keep it up. I am a beginner, but I love to hear triplets.

  • I love the epic dog balls and the music :D

  • what are the sizes of our drums? and the sizes and brands of all your cymbals?

  • first: bonham didn't stuff his bass drum, and if you can't play single strokes without stuffing your bass drum, you're using it as a crutch. Feel free if you like the sound, but you shouldn't have to to be able to play them.

second: bonham almost always played Left-Right-Foot. You can hear High-Low-Bass when he plays the common left hand on the rack, right hand on the floor position. It takes some practice but sounds more natural

  • @zdresser .....I dont stuff my drums with babies on the real. as far as right-left-foot or left-right-foot, makes no difference you can play crossed, position your drums differently, He actually plays a cross over pattern that I didn't go into into the video for simplicitys sake

  • You want to hear triplets from the master, listen to GFRs first live album and a cut called TNUC.Thats right, they were not all hype like zep was.I said a master not boneham.

  • Great Video Connor...Thanks for the tips. Every drum solo I have ever seen/heard live does that triplet at some point but very hard to figure out what exactly is happening. Now I know....Cheques in the mail Bro.

  • @mavrikkawartha No probb, thank you

  • good video. i do linear triplets, LOVE them. R-Right hand L-Left hand B-Bass drum R L B L R B

  • yeah... hes not gay....

  • wot i wanna know is...whos on first???

  • YAWN!!!!!!

  • nice !!

  • My oldest son crawled in the bass drum at church when is was about 1 1/2. There was no reso head I had to stop so I could get him out. That was about 21 1/2 yrs ago. never thought about till u mentioned toddler in bass. Good lesson! Cool too.

  • @jermpick haha thanks man

  • stuffing a baby in your bass drum...yeah, nothing weird about that.

  • @olflatop true

  • great video, I have been drummer for well over 20 year and this is my favorite tool in my handbag of tricks. this video shows it as simple as it gets, wish most of my students got this that easy.

  • @jpdancer99 Thanks! I agree completely

  • the same drums as Fabrizio Moretti <3 !

  • Are you using a single pedal?

Sounds like double when you play that groove/rock beat, ptherwise you're pretty fast with your right foot, huh?

  • @Pelleman666 ya single pedal, haha sorta kinda fast

  • @Pelleman666 Its a single, iron cobra. I put in a decent amount of time to footwork. Thanks.

  • this is a really helpful video you guys thanks

  • What cymbal types/sizes do you use? And thats a Dixon kit right?

  • @eliruben123 zildjians - 21 sweet ride, 14 z3 mastersound hihats, 19 z custom crash, and 20 a medium. Actually its a pearl, not totally in love with it but it suits my needs right now.

  • Probably one of the better videos. I like how you used the right left foot analogy.
