  • @flaxonx3 Your comment is a joke - Minder was at it's creative best and riding on the crest of a wave of popularity in 1983.

  • great

  • HA HA LOVING IT LOVING IT,WATCHING THE RE-RUNS ON ITV4 BEST PROGRAMME EVER

  • Every time I see this video, I always have this vision of me and my Dad being on that stage in front of the audience with me being the Terry character and my Dad being the Arthur character and we're doing and saying exactly everything on what those two are doing and saying. lol. XD

  • there's been some proper crap novelty xmas songs, this one is class tho

  • what's the music behind called?

  • thing de theme choon, write de theme choon

  • wooow haven't heard this in donkeys years....classic cheese lol

  • brilliant love it

  • What a great show. That was. Really good fun. This is just them having a laugh and at Christmas, why not?

  • A blast from the past

  • Strange..... you'd think they'd look like fish out of water on TOTP, and yet they just cruise through this like they'd been doing it every week. It's like they brought the car lot and The Winchester with them in spirit.

Love it. They had real screen chemistry, something that was fairly rare then but is dodo-esque now.

  • Classick.

    Den and George Cole.

Den good actor George Cole, awsome actor.

I really think a good Xmas song as Slades song,so here it is merry Christmas.

    I Love Christmas.

    Only Seven months away.

  • found the bugger, classic banter and tempo

  • 80s rap, here comes Jism

  • Funny!

  • top tv show AND no 12 in the charts!...i reckon waterman had to beat off the fanny..... i also beleive aswell as singing 'w.a.w.g.t.g.f.h.i', he wrote it too.

  • WTF ?

  • Funniest thing about this is the audience trying to dance to it.

The most frightening though is that it reached number 21 in the charts.

I echo the Waterman comment though from

kirkwanglers32, Waterman is a grumpy old so and so if you try to ask for an autograph.

  • This is so good it knocks the spots off Simon Cowell's Puppets who think that Xmas no1 is automatically guarenteed!

I still have my 7" copy on vinal in excellent condition! Great stuff!

  • I bought it too .. not sure where my copy is though :) ..

  • ha! this is brilliant, and its live too!

  • "After all I've done for you!" Genius. Love this.

  • So bad and terrible it is great fun :)

  • My Sister tried to get Dennis Watermans autograph at Sheperton.

    He gave and others contemp.

    We made you mate.

  • Classic. Unbeatable chemistry between those two.

  • Best Xmas song for years!! Terence please....

  • This was my favourite christmas song as a kid

  • FANTASTIC !!!!!

  • This song is so catchy!

  • "Time to make a will you mean"

    lol! xD

  • too too too bloody awesome!

  • It;s not embarassing. It's a crappy novelty record and they were fully aware of it. Just a bit of fun.

  • you make laugh you do!,I love the accent,

    you brits rock!best tv shows,music...

  • FANTASTIC, reminds me of me and my dad.

  • y the fuck did shane ritchie do the new minder...his just a arthur daley wannabe...he'l never come close to arthur. arthur and terry 4eva!!!

  • love'em! This is the one we want not the new horrible version of Minder on channel 5. haha! I had a crush on Terry when I first started watching Minder.

    anyone seen the new Minder?

  • Arfur Daley, a little dodgy maybe but a proper TV legend Classic TV and still Minder is watchable. Nice one

  • So truly dreadful, but i`ll admit I sat and watched all of it!

Terry & Arfur = classic stuff!

  • LMAO that was funny. I must say though, Minder wasnt half as good after denis waterman left. now, im off to ebay to buy the box sets. You forget how great T.V actually can be.

  • the best show on tv..! I wonder what new show will be like?

  • a classic great duo

  • Fantastic! Great Great couple! Minder is great!

  • yea mate i loved the minder great show

  • 'It 'im, Terry...It's all these 'ooligans understand! 'Minder' will always be pure gold entertainment, not like the P.C. trash that is spoon-fed to the masses these days.

  • If this was today poor ol' George would get fined a monkey for puffing that cigar on stage.

  • shows it age 'princes di and russell harty'

  • Great video, funny and clever! Nice bit of Minder.

  • Brilliant...sooo funny!

  • elburnez,

It would have climbed higher...In 1983 there was no Christmas chart so everything was a non-mover!! My guess it would have made around Top 15.

  • can you believe this actually got to No 21, it's funny tho

  • awful

  • typical .... no respect

  • you make me laugh you do

  • Really fantastic! Geordge Cole and Dennis waterman are top notch guys.

  • absolutely classic...brilliant stuff..great post

  • This song is graet. it captures their relationships perfectly. great lyrics and George Cole has great timing.

  • Pay the right people and you will get a slice of it, do what?..... Lick more crack, before it's too late..

  • Amazing! Alot is said of the legendary Ronnie Barker and David Jason but I think George Cole has got to be in the top ten if not top 5 British Comedy performers of all time - he is a legend!

  • Goodbye England........quality meritocracy and not that BBC "White England" Crap...

    Goodbye England........................

  • i have this on my ipod sweet as a nut ,all ways makes me smile ,good old days of t.v sheer class

  • D'you think they're singing live? It would have been a difficult one to mime to, with the spoken words.

  • Of course it's live you peasant.

  • According to George Cole he thinks they were the only ones live on Top of the Pops that evening. It's quite different to the record version.

  • The good old days of tv before the pc brigade became powerful.25 years on and both men are still fit.

  • This has been my fave Christmas songs for years and years, long before i ever knew who Arthur and Terry were!! Have always wanted to see this, thankyou soooo much, is there any way or anywhere i could download this video to keep?! utterly brillint!! thankyou!!
