  • Need something fixed position please, this doesn't teach people what they really need to know. 5G or 6G fixed, any videos out there of this. Seems to be where im struggling, CWI doesnt take too kindly to rolling it in a stand.

  • I want to say thanks for the video. I have seen comments about downhill welding but you can't always roll the pipe. For instance building a roll cage for a race car. Trust me it took a while for me to get a good bead on the bottoms so I commend your skills.

  • downhill wilding is no good..

  • your a good welder hommie

  • fucken down hill is too easy man go up hill

  • I will get your money!!

  • I,was wondering how to weld the way you did it.good job, thanks a lot.

  • YOU DONT WELD DOWN YOU IDIOT. That looks like a 6011 rod judgeing by the way flux looks. never ever go down hill.. learn to weld

  • @worrior05 you are a fucken idiot its a 6010 p+ built for down hand neally every pipeline you see was welded with that rod and downhand

  • @worrior05 how bout look shit up before you rally out dumb shit.. try that one.

  • @worrior05 AWS API 1104 you can weld pipe downhand.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hjefv Was that aimed at me:)?? All I said was the truth. AWS CWI, NDT LVL II, Multiple structural and pipe certs, Union welding foreman, commercial diver/ underwater welder. Cant fake it in my field:) Downhill is fine, but there is a technique to it.

  • @worrior05 A few years ago I was on a Job with a Lead man who had flown in from out of town to supposedly run the job I was on. This guy told me everything about welding, from codes, good weld temperatures for certain positions, how to do this, and how to do that. When it came down to it, this guy could not weld to save his life. In the end my Head Foreman let his ass go. In my years of welding I have encountered too many fake welders. For your sake, I hope you are not like this.

  • youre really teaching people to weld downhill?

  • Yes. There is an entire world of downhill welding called Pipeline among other areas where this is used and if you can't weld downhill you walk.

  • downhill wilding is no good..

  • I think that test is also given only uphill. root pass done with 6010 then hot pass done with 7018 and cap.Hope no damn stringers..lol

  • @saultman Did you get it sir?

  • I'm a Union Ironworker bby trade and tomorrow morning I'm going to take a 6g weld test for the Union Pipe Fitters for work and I hope the hell I pass it...I never welding on pipe b4 your videos gave me some confidence thanks!

  • I don't speak a lick of spanish.

  • esta es la mejor manera de demostrar o enzenar un proceso de soldadura mediante un vidrio obscuro , felicito al soldador que lo hizo, pues es noble de su parte compartir su conocimiento con todos los que lo vemos,!!!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!

  • This is downhill with a fast freeze rod. There isn't enough slag on the stop to worry about.

  • nice video, make another one putting a root pass with 6010 Vertical up and fill and cap with 3/32 7018 on 3/8 plates and Overhead with 6010 root pass and 7018 3/32 fill and cap.

  • not chipping off slag between start/stops?

  • It isn't the easiest weld with the camera on your mind while you are rolling the spool piece that has odd ball weight to it with the left hand and welding with the right hand.

I hear you my friend. Thanks for not being too critical of me as some have been.

  • dude, you need a steadier hand, and it also looks like your slightly long-arcing..

  • Very nice.
