Does Susan not understand the legislative process? Bills are constantly edited, amended (or not), during their life in Congress. This wasn't an evil invention of the Democrats and Obama this year-- this is the way it's always been. Susan just doesn't like it this year-- and is paying special attention this time around-- because the people she doesn't like are in charge.

Might I recommend a reading of John Locke to get a handle on the principles that the country was founded upon. That will give you an idea of what it means to be an American as opposed to someone who just lives in America yet subscribes to a completely anathetical philosophy. And since you have obviously missed the memo, the United States is a Republic, not a democracy. Learn to distinguish the two types of government.

Secondly,just because it was founded a certain way does not make it right, our forefathers made the constitution a certain way so that it may be changed due to times or flaws of their own, they acknowledged that they werent perfect.
You are correct in that there are democratic principles employed in the American system. But it is more important that it is a Republic. You are also correct that just because something is founded a certain way doesn't make it right. We can look at the Soviet Union, PRC and Hitler's Germany. Comparing how well the US has done under Locke's philosophy would lend credit to his being more correct than others.

WAKE UP your indiviudal liberties & freedom ARE under attack. Pres Obama signed an exec order on 12/17/09 giving Interpol (Intnl Criminal Police Org) diplomatic immunity. Meaning in the US, Interpol does not have to follow laws that prohibit authorities from violating our constitutionally protected rights. Interpol is also no longer subject to freedom of information act inquiries.
All DC politicians are not speaking out against this unconstituional order, so vote out all incumbents in 2010!

No you really wouldn't like to see it. And you wouldn't like to be sick and have to deal with the Canadian Health Care system. Trust me on this; I've lived with Canadian Health Care since its inception around 1968. I'd rather pay and get good care and in fact I do. When I have a serious problem, I go to a Mayo Clinic as do many other Canadians.

Does Susan not understand the legislative process? Bills are constantly edited, amended (or not), during their life in Congress. This wasn't an evil invention of the Democrats and Obama this year-- this is the way it's always been. Susan just doesn't like it this year-- and is paying special attention this time around-- because the people she doesn't like are in charge.
But the legislative process remains the same. IE: I would want to be able to edit my Essay before the final day to turn it in.

Sure we can go to any clinic but since care is rationed, even in life-or-death situations, someone needing a heart bypass can wait up to 2 years for it.
I have a friend who was given 3 months to live and told during the same appointment that his surgery would be in 6 months! He went to a Mayo Clinic; it cost him LOTS but he's still alive 8 years later.

The surplus that the government had because of Bill Clinton's incredible tax on everything under the sun gave more money to the government. Might I recommend a reading of John Locke to get a handle on the principles that the country was founded upon. That will give you an idea of what it means to be an American as opposed to someone who just lives in America yet subscribes to a completely anathetical philosophy. And since you have obviously missed the memo, the United States is a Republic, not a democracy. Learn to distinguish the two types of government.
