Its not just about knocking Obama out. It is about getting a President who communicates with the congress. Obama does not. He makes demands and then walks away. Newt has the class and deal making ability to get things done. I watched him in the 1970's, 80's and 1990's. He can get more done with one hand tied behind his back then any of the current people. Running or in office.

Government shutdown fiasco. Everyone who has worked with him (mostly republicans) said he was a "horrible leader". They tried to GET RID OF HIM as speaker until finally he resigned. ALSO he was fined 300K for ethics violations.

Second the reason why nothing is "getting done" is because of rampant corruption and hyperpartisanship.

Not that it matters, but a supermajority refers to a 2/3 majority in both the House and Senate needed to either overturn a presidential veto or amend the constitution. That would be 67 and 290. You're thinking of the 60 votes needed to break a Seanate filibuster which the Democrats never had either. The highest number they ever had in the Senate was 58 Dems and two indies, including Leiberman. (You remember Leiberman. The guy who campaigned for McCain?)
