It's a bit unclear, but from what I picked up it's about the extremely strong feeling you get when you fall for someone, while at the same time you have a certain feeling of hate towards them. And these emotions are unclear, but the last line "til I find somebody new" shows that it's only a short lasting emotional roller coaster. :O

I think it`s more like this: He falls in love with a woman and has very strong feelings for her. But she denys his feelings by singing (Damien sings this in a higher tone, indicating that a femal person is singing) "didn`t I say that i loath you?". Since he has such strog feelings for her, he can`t really forget her, until he "finds somebody new" at the end. So the song is more about unreturned love and dissapointment.
