  • Im thinking about buying this guitar or then Schecter c-7. Atm i dont really know which one to get.. If i remember correctly this ibanez doesnt have neck thru?? I think the schechter has and im kinda used to neck thru because my 6 string dean has it

  • I Had Record Ibanez 1527 CrunchLab LiquiFire Test Check it out : )

  • I'd love having a neck through one.. amazing finish and color!

  • ei dude nice guitar.. how many spring does the guitar has?

  • @15yngwie15 comes stock with 3, you can certainly add/remove how ever many you want up to 5-6

  • @themetalhankey this may be a dumb question, but what does the number of springs do to the guitar?

  • To me these have the best feeling 7 string neck

  • what is the price of the guitar

  • what is the price of the guitar

  • hey buddy how much for that guitar?

  • Comment removed

  • I'm in the process of putting those same "7" pole Dimarzio pickups in a six string guitar. Should be interesting.

  • why would u want to? tell me how it sounds, though.

  • Have you ever seen or heard a six string guitar with seven-string pickups before? Arn't you curious? It's all about being radicaly extreme and trying different things. You know - "experimentation". I let you know how it is when it's finished.

  • do you think that the rg1527 is the best 7 string guitar ibanez had ever released?

  • i have one for possible sale if anyone is interested.

  • how much? lol

  • How much are you willing to pay i'm a bit uncertain on selling it, good condition never gigged, with a little nick in the paint where a belt rubbed on the back of the guitar. And i'll pay for it re-stringing shop cleaned and set up before sale.

  • the guitar seems in good condition and to me, Ibanez 7 strings are the best 7 string you can get, to be honest I wouldn't sell, I got a Dean 7string and its nothing compared to the ibanez models, so its your choice to sell, and I think its worth a good $2000

  • i don't play it enough which was my reason for thinking of selling it but i'd be sad to see it go.

I can't ship to America from England either.

I completely agree it's amazing guitar though every time i do actually play it i love it, just wrong guitar for the bands i'm in.

  • how much

  • how much?

  • I ended up buying the Ibanez Rg2620CBK Prestige guitar :D

You can watch it on my channel.

nice guitar, seven stringed guitars are hella fun to play.

    5/5

  • What is the name of this song?

  • it comes with the case right ?

  • what gauge is everyone using on there 1527's? I tried 10's but the gauge throws the floating bridge off (ideally it needs 5 springs holding the brtidge down, not 3) so tempted to try some 9's, any input?

  • well, changing gauges causes that to happen. don't worry it's normal, you just need to adjust the springs every time you standard tune it

  • i use 10's on mine i just screw the trem springs right into the body

    works fine

  • if your using a heavier gauge string, just tighten the two screws in the back of the guitar where the springs attach. That will get the trem back down to where it should be. This adjustment is very common among guitars with Floyd Rose Free-Floating trems.

  • Pt. 2 -That is why most guitarists leave the back plate off off the guitar. You don't have to constantly be taking it off. Oh yeah, just and added tip. put some cushioning under the springs, such as a folded up piece of paper towel. That will prevent the springs from vibrating. Which they tend to do as you play. This will add a lot more sustain to your sound and also will "tighten" and clean it up your sound. Just make sure it doesn't get bound up if you tend to use the whammy bat a lot.

  • really mmm that sounds interesting lol ^^ i will do that thanx

  • After doing this adjustment, do i have to do somthing to the neck too? Would the different tension affect the neck?

  • No. The difference in tension is not great enough to effect the neck at all. How is the condition of the neck without any string tension? Look down the neck to see if it is bowed in or out. If your strings are "buzzing", it might be a result of the action being to low or the neck is bowed out. Raise your saddle height or get the truss rod adjusted.

  • My neck is fine, i adjusted the action so the strings wont buzz. So basicaly to change the string gauge, i tighten the springs by screwing the screws further in, until the bridge goes into a normal position?

  • Right on. You want that trem plate to be even with the body of the guitar, right? Back off on the screws if it's laying back too far or tighten if the ass end of the trem is up.

  • Also, be patient during this fine tuning proceess. Between aadjusting the tuning pegs and the screws, this adjustment may take some time to get the floating trem just right.

  • well if you wanna play low tunings or just a different gauge on it you should adjust the springs tension and put the thicker gauge , but you gotta now how to do it or just take it to someone who knows

  • It definitely does need 5 springs even with 10's on there. I've got mine blocked off though and I use a custom 10-64 set. I wouldn't try that set with the tremolo un-blocked though, and definitely not with only 3 springs in there haha.

  • Reminds me of the old beach boys song, 409

"well I saved my pennies and I saved my dimes"

as a 409 is to a normal car engine.

the RG1527 is to a normal guitar.

  • Shiiiit! What's the song plzs!?

  • also it'lll take dimarzios to get some chris broderick in there too wit hthe engl powerball

  • how much?

  • Very Cheap Guitar =D

  • i try it today at a music store...and it cost 2300$....its not very cheap xD i saw some guitar 99$ for christmas in a newspaper loll

  • i guess that makes your e-peen bigger than his

  • I'm getting one in a couple of weeks. I can't wait.

  • MY GUITAR bought new fot 750 €

i love her, the hambuckers are good, but i'll take 2 dimarzio to obtain JP's sound.

  • Sexy out, great looking guitar

  • just bought one off ebay for under 850... mint condition. can't wait for it to get here. i'll be shreddin for days

  • im in the toronto region looking to buy a 7-string. how much u want?

  • n00b

  • Orgasmic axe. I just ordered the new galaxy white one that just came out this year. I hope the stock V7 and V8 P'ups sound good.

  • I love this guitar, we have been through so much!

  • que porqueria de guitarra

  • que gran razonamiento y fundamentos XD

  • I'm about to get one and I cant wait!!!

  • Are you sure this isn't mirage blue? im not sure but from the video it looks a lil like it. Its a nice lookin guitar though i'll say that. But seriously ckeheck out the RG1570 in mirage blue. its got a changing effect that is awesome.

  • There is no mirage blue option for this model.

  • Got mine, love it :D

  • im getting my rg1527 with the new design for the case. is majestic!!!!! woohooo line 6 and ibanez..good mix.

  • new design? Im buying one of these bad boys new from ibanez next week, will i get that too?

  • Dude... hows that edge pro? im thinking about getting this but i want to know if the edge pro is as good on a seven string.

  • edge pro is good floating tremolo better than edge III, but in all IBANEZ catalog the new Zero Resistance tremolo it´s awesome, The series "S" and " S Prestige" have it.

  • yeah i know. but ive read that they break real easily.

  • The screw/tightening machine is a common problem for the ZR bridge. I've had a problem with that certain part snapping while playing with it, renting an S470.

  • where in the bloody hell did you get a hardcase for an RG?

  • all the guitar from the prestige series come with a hardcase

  • does the s470?

  • you don't get a case with the S470

  • crappy ibanez bridge???

ok,than satriani and many other greath guitarists plays with shitty bridges!!!

  • your damn straight they all use crappy bridges! Just because big names use them doesnt mean there any good!

  • can you explain why you think that they sucks??

  • The Ibanez bridges is very good! i have this guitar myself and i love it!

  • @rama6maiden they get floyds put on them dont they?

  • @dimeowns100

    no they use ibanez bridges!!

  • @rama6maiden satriani, vai, gilbert... many more

  • is this one made for metal?

  • ibanez makes great metal guitars and this one is no diffrent but it can be used for other genres as well, the clean sound is nice ^^

  • thanks bro u just helped alot.=]

  • i have an rg1570 which looks very similar to this and i have a question. is it just like this apart from the fact that the 1527 has 7 strings, not 6?

  • Yeah! I just got this guitar and it's super awesome! :D :P

    Love it...

  • hey i bought the same guitar and im gonna pik it up tomorow, plz tell me the pros of this guitar.=]

  • It feels great ^^

Easy on the fingers, the neck isn't that thick (that you could expect from a 7 string)so it's not hard on your wrist at all. And of course it sounds and looks great. I think it's a great investment.

  • yea thanks alot.=]

  • id that the case you got with the guitar??

  • yes the guitar come with that case.

    greetz

  • i got that one since yesterday....this guitar just rockz....luv the neck and attack.

    great handled and realy beautiful.

  • really beauty and evil guitar

  • damn!! having this kind of guitar and RG 2228is a dream come true ahaha!! this is a shred guitar, it has a thin neck for maximum shredding...

  • Cool guitar, dude!! I'm getting one of these on Tuesday.

One question, are those stock pickups?? They kinda look like a set of Dimarzio Blaze's. If so, did you have to modify anything in order to have them installed?? Thank you!!

  • hey...nice...demo...wnated to know..if the wahammy bar..goes up and down both or only down..is it double lockin?? pls let me know..thnx

  • It's an Edge Pro 7. its double locking so it goes both.

  • Man, really thinking about getting this and putting in SD Blackouts in it...

  • its really hard to fit the sd, trust me ive just fitted them to my rg 7321, basically my local music shop was fitting them for me. the passive pickups had diffrent wiring colours to the seymour duncans so it was hard to switch but he did that all good, also u might need to use foam to keep the pickup raised up because the springs are too big.

    just some advice

dont take it the wrong way :D

they are awasome pickups tho :D

  • what is the string tuning for that guitar

  • Low to High- BEADGBE.

  • did this case come with your guitar when you did buy it?

  • I think a case comes with it, the case may not be as nice as this though, so I'd say probably not :(

  • i want one!

  • Oh man I'm pumped, mine just got shipped in today, I just have to go pick it up!

  • if im not mistaken these guitars are made from basswood and i have been looking at some ibanez guitars and i was just wondering if the guitars sound good, im looking at a RGT6EXFX and i use a drop B or drop A tunning, dose this guitar sound like its lacking bass?

  • thats exactly like mine

except i have purple strings, a whammy bar, and one more pickup

  • so you must have an ibanez rg1570 mirage blue right?

  • yeah

except i have a center pickup as well

  • Hi is the wizard neck on it noticeably thin? thanks

  • yeah

i have the same and its the thinnest neck guitar ive ever played

  • I wonder if they give you the case even-though you buy this from the... once for display and play, no the once from the box

  • I have that same guitar, but black!:D

  • Not many people are partial to the royal blue, and many are disappointed by the fact that Ibanez chose not to release the RG1527 in more colors. I've never actually seen one in person, but I'm interested in purchasing one.

I was wondering how they look in person and whether the photos actually do them any justice?????????

  • I just played one yesterday and believe me man, the colour is awseme... sure I love black coloured guitars but this blue kicks ass, it plays like a dream honestly... but of course you would have to play one/see one for yourself but all I can say is.. it kicks major ass...

  • this was in reply to adil2552's comment :P

  • Thanks for taking the time to reply dude.

I've played an Ibanez 7 before so I know how awesome they play, the necks are beautiful:-)

  • No problem :)...The necks are for sure beautiful, they just wrap around your hands :D... God I cant wait to buy this guitar :P

  • Hey there I own one, and I'd like to say that they look absolutely amazing. I own the 'mirage red' paint job which actually changes from a sparkly crazy dark red to a green/gold depending on light reflection - seriously cool.

They play amazingly too, and you gotta love the floyd rose

  • "what a stupid video"?

    --what a stupid comment ;)

  • dude, it IS if fact a stupid video to worship a guitar

  • bro do u know how to tighten the torque of the whammy bar on the edge pro 7 bridge?coz i've the same guitar n the whammy bar's quite floopy.

  • his is older it has a lo-pro 7

  • WHat is that shining thing on the case, closer to the bottom of the screen, next to the neck?

Is there in the case some kind of "hole" where you cna put, for exemple, pedals?

  • its a small compartment where you can put stuff in.. like tools you need for the guitar or tuners and stuff

  • Hey dude, what about this Edge Pro 7 tremolo?

Is the whammy bar more stiff than a 6-string one?

  • yes, because there is more tension

  • Does this guitar come in any other colours?

  • The 7th string, what is it tuned to?

  • It's tuned to B, so you have standard E tuned 6 strings with a B at the bottom. Or you could have full D to D tuning with an A on the bottom. Or G-C-G-C-G-C-E, open C major with a low G. Whatever you want dude.

  • Nice color!

  • ah man thatthings nice, im thinking about getting one. did it come with the case btw?

  • yes, all prestige series guitars come with the ibanez prestige case

  • if u buy that case apart whats the price do u know?

  • mein baby!!!

sie bringt ein aus wut an die decke zu gehen wenn man sie stimmen will, und dann wenn man mit ihr spielt wuerde man sie am liebsten ficken.

    fast wie frauen...

  • I could have got this guitar for 120$ should I buy it.

  • yes you should it is $899 new

  • got the same guitar. its amazing

  • <3 <3 <3!!!

  • GIVE ME!

  • I want that guitar. Ibanez makes the best guitars ever!!!

  • i would say that a fender is better.

  • Fender is allright, but Ibanez Has so many advantages over Fender

  • GUITAR MASTURBATION?

  • It has Ibanez's proprietary Edge Pro 7 bridge, which, in my humble opinion, is better than a normal Floyd Rose trem. It stays deadly accurate in tune through the most extreme whammy dives, and it's much easier to change strings (you don't have to cut the ball end off, it fits inside the bridge).

I also have an RG1527 and I looove it. Wonderful guitar, worth every penny.

  • jeje we get it camera man! long tape!:P but nice, is there a floyd too?

  • i will get ibanez prestige for santa claus.

  • its a shame that they dont make this beauty in black anymore

    :'[

i beleive it was in '05 or '06 when they were still available

in black through Music123[dot]com for $750

i hope they bring it back in '08

  • I pick mine up tomorrow afternoon, right out of work.

    I'm very, very excited.

  • that guitar is so fuckin sweet, its a shame it costs so much though when the only real difference between it and the tremolo-less version is it has a tremolo lol and the tremolo-less version is only like 400$

  • actually no... the neck is different, the pickups are different, craftsmanship is different, hence it's twice the price of a 7321. Do not underestimate the value of prestige line Ibbies, there really is a difference in sound, feel and overall quality.

  • is that the box it comes in?

  • yes it is

  • i hate those inlays

my friednd has one of those in a

    kinda light silver colour

but the sort of 'v' shaped inlays

    and its is fucken sweet

  • una joya asi es para tocarse no para tenerla ahi guardada y tomarle video vamos as un video y tocala para ver como se olle...

  • the year of the guitar?

  • 2007

  • i just cant wait! mine is arriving in a month or so, how would you say the stock pickups work, i love the sound of petrucci as a reference.

  • I own it, the black one that's not produced anymore. The guitar is great and feels great while playing. However the finish isn't breathtaking and the pickups are just okay, but that's it.

If you want a petrucci-like sound or just a really good sound, you need a great amp, great cabinets and "real pickups". but hey, you already know all of that.

  • Thats the fucking guitar I waaaaaaant, how does it play?

  • like wtf you have the balls at the machine heads of your stings :S:S:S ???

  • Makes it easier to string.

  • i love my rg1527 great guitar

  • Yeap.. I'm a Proud RG1527 rb owner :)

  • just a question dude... i'm planning to buy this guitar next month, is it heavy to play with? (..as in weight that is) coz I played on a K-7 and found it quite heavy to play on.
