Good to know that your dad is doing great. He is too good of a poet/singer and I know he is a very honorable guy. People will talk bad about other people here but we don''t pay attention to the negative stuff and don't believe it.
@abvaj217...no problem. Here is a link to the site where I got the lyrics from. He man seen here is the original composer of this song...and the original title of this song is "Nco Tej Qub Zog" which he translated from a French song and he also added some of his own words into it. Somehow I could paste the link, but you can goodle "Hmoob Npam Naj Xees" from the Hmong Catholic Forum.

It's sadden to see how much our beloved Hmong people have suffered in the Vietnam conflicts. All of us lost a special loved one in our life.......nothing can heal our wound in the heart........no matter how many centuries........our wound will stay there 4everlasting. It's so painful to see our past history.....of what already happened in Laos.
This is a classic song 4 all of us 2 listen. It came out while we're still unborned. Heart break 4 anyone who just lost a loved one, and never forgot his or her past loved one in life.
I was wondering if anyone has the lyrics to this song? The quality of the song is bad and with him crying it's really hard to understand what he's actually saying.
Does anyone have other songs from this artist?? I believe there are more b/c my parents had a cassette, but we lost it. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone know of any. Thank you. =)
@mssy10 it was so sad after this song he died from stress and from a broken heart when he got to the states. i cry sometimes listening to this song too sad too many people missed the lyrics the meaning are so powerful.
@mssy10 the new video is a video response to this song here, it's called Hauv Tsuaj Ntsuab, just right above/below our conversation posts here. Couln't send attached video to your mailbox but it's here.
1975 tus npawg Xyooj Neeb peb nyob nram Vees Cam(Vientiane) ces wb nco nco peb qub zej qub zos thiaj sau zaj nkauj no. Cov suab nkauj yog wb muab los ntawm tus Fab Kis Georges Moustaki zaj nkauj. Another interpretation "Lig Tas" was taken from " Il est trop tard". You can search youtube for it.
Enjoy. Read Moustaki's biography and you will know why he wrote sad songs.
realy sad. this war and place modernized and changed so many Hmong, the greatest change in Hmong life in the 20th century. I remember Long Cheng vaguely until seeing it 1987 with all old and broken buildings, telephone poles and power lines. where are these people? The roads were full of grown weeds and the air strip was full of cattle droppings. felt very sad at the time....
If my dad was still alive he would remember these areas. He was stationed in LongCheng. These pictures would bring tears to his eye. It even bring sadness to me although I could not remember anything about these places. Hmong, look how far you have traveled and been displaced. Please love your fellow brothers and sisters and especially your parents for without them you would have not read this message.
Damp! Those white people, they brain wash us and destroy our future life in Laos like nothing. Our Hmong people lost everything in this war. Look at those white trash, they are trying to do the same thing to the Middle East people. In Southeast Asian they were for opium and in the Middle East they are for oil. How evil?????
I love my Hmong country in Laos where we don't have to worry about anything, but doing farming and living peaceful way like heaven!! Just like the life of Jesus!!!
@911XFILE It was true that we, Hmong, lost a lot during the war, but if you think carefully we gain more than we lost. Because of the sacrifice of many of our love ones, it opened the door of ordinary guys and gals like us to have access to wealth, education and more... like the rich and wealthy children. I did not regret a bit that we lost the country of laos to the Communist.
@nv4009 So you value wealth, education , &C over your people. No amount of wealth can restore or heal a People. It is better to have a poor country, a wasteland, a graveyard to call your own over any amount of wealth of the world. Then the world will have respect for you because access to the world automatically follows from this. As long as there is a 1% chance of succeeding, Never give up even if it is for a 1 acre land.
when i listen to any kind of old song, it makes me think about our country back in laos and thailand. If the time can go back to the past. I might be the one of these people.
@molovechoose Listening to old song make you remember the pain in the past but it is a very good lesson for us to learn and move forward with a clear goal and agenda.
sad indeed i feel her pain her sorrow coz i can somwhat relate. i to was fource to come to the u.s by my pairents and i was and is a child or should i say a decact of the war i dont want to go into it ... :*( ill always feel this way its something i will have or try to live with till i got back home where ever home is to my sister and brothers hmoobs/Miaos.....
I used to listen to these music all the time. Even though I have moved to the US, my heart and souls still live in Ban Vinai. All my brothers and sisters die there. Me and one of my brother survived, but he died not too long ago. I am all by myself now. Very sad. Tears are dripping down from my eyes as I am typing. I hope GOD hears my pray...
omg! thanks sooo much for posting his songs! I've been looking for these songs but did not know the singer's name! this is one of my favorite songs of his...it's truly a very sad and touching song especially when he starts crying!
