Hi, is this a scratch built model of the Scharnhorst? I am currently building a 200 scale model from scratch, with the exception of the 3.7cm, 2cm and Vierling AA guns, which will come from Aero-Naut. My superstructure is 90% finished and I have already made the 3 barbettes into which I placed a micro servo to rotate them. Got those servos on Ebay for $1.49 from Hongkong. I will also raise & lower the anchors via 2 servos. Care to answer?
wow, it's so nice, and to make it in this scale is so impressive:) i'm soon starting on the 1/400, just waiting for some photoetch to come in the mail. I just hope i can make halfway the job you did.

Hi, what scale is your model of the Scharnhorst? Is it scratchbuilt or a kit. To my knowledge Aero-Naut is the only company that makes a 200 scale model. I scratchbuilt the Sch. many years ago, (RC) and sold it along with Prinz Eugen and Bismarck to a collector. I still have a bit of a fleet here: SMS Seydlitz, Derfflinger, Emden and Leipzig, KM Tirpitz, Nuernberg and Tirpitz. They make a fine show sailing in formation.

@chloe7829 No. It is a RC conversion of a 1/700 scale static model kit. It will nice to see how yours turned out.

Gneisenau was also involved in sinking HMS Glorious but like all of Germany's big ships they were all sunk or defeated sometimes by smaller ships.

Is that the Revell brand? I hear that the Lindberg brand can be inaccurate.
