  • The music spoils it

  • Your reviews are very balanced and informative, thankyou!

  • Who is the Australian you referred to that had reviewed 3P's on youtube?

  • Hi Ahmed. WOW! this stuff is teaching me, all over again how to smoke a pipe PROPERLY!! i.e. ......NOT to inhale!!

If you do inhale this stuff, the room goes round and round! ......If you don't inhale, it's WONDERFUL stuff! (nicotene by the bucketful!!).....very tasty though!

    Thanks for the review.

  • @fiddleup it is great indeed to know that you are enjoying the hobby, like u i used to inhale but once i knew the fact i truly started enjoying this hobby. thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment mate m glad these vid are as useful and entertaining as it should be

  • Hi ahmad

I've gone to the dark side & moved up from flakes to plug tobacco.

Just finished my 1st bowl of this fine tobacco with a cup of French Market coffee.

    I'm in love ;)

It easy to prepare, did take a couple more relights than my flakes but that was straight out of the tin.

    Cheers

    Brian

  • i hear you Brian,, m delighted to know tht u like the stuff althu i hv to expect tht from a flake lover,,last time i tried chopping the slices into cubes,,it takes a bit more in preparation but give it a try u wont be disappointed, they will burn easier and u cn fill the bowl with out any effort but be gentle on the tamping

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Hi ahmad

Thats the method I used, seemed to work better for plug than flake tobacco. Maybe beginners luck.

    Cheers

    Brian

  • nice one ahmad.i am waiting for your new videos

  • Hi Ahmed

I enjoyed this video very much. I have been thinking about that Peterson plug. I have never tried a plug but think I might order the 3 p's to try.

    regards

    Mark

  • hello Mark,,m not sure if u tried the irish flake but it is some how similar yet more fruity,,defiantly a long smoke and slow burning give a satisfying kick as well the only draw back for few ppl is tht thet burly is higher than the virginia in this one,,well taste is a subjective matter after all,,isnt it?

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Hello Achmed, glad you likes this plug, I didn't get into it and still have half a block left. And I found it very dense and thus very hard to slice, even with a very sharp knife.

  • hello Rob,,i have found this one a good more fruity alternative for irish flake which is really hard to get here and it worked superbly by mixing it with black xx rope and navy flake by macbaren on a 20,30 and 50% mixture each complement the other n deliver a massive kick with rich taste

    thanks for stopping by mate

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Hello, Ahmed, This was a very enjoyable video. I shall get myself a tin of Peterson's 3P's. I'm a big fan of Peterson of Dublin, and 3P's seems to be worth acquiring. Good smoking and good health to you, sir.

  • hello my dear friend,, well i wont say that it is similar to old dublin as they r both different stories but if u liked irish flake then this one is kinda similar but in a more consistent form and less in nicotine hit,,old dublin is one of my fav blend thu

thanks for watching and taking the time to leave this thoughtful comment

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Interesting video. I have heard about the 3P but I have never seen it before. I may have to try this!

    Proscht

  • Hello mate,,thanks for watching and taking the time to comment .. psis great plug tobacco if u r a fan of virginia burly blends and mostly fire cured burly then thhis is the one to try,,it might need extra effort but ican assure it worth it

    cheers

    ahmad

  • A very helpful instructional video and tobacco review Ahmad - I must try this plug. I like both Irish and University Flake so this should appeal to me.

    All the best

    Paul1965

  • Dear Paul,, i must say if u ever found ur self enjoying irish flake then u will find this one just as much however burely is a bit more on this one and slow puffing is essential to enjoy the flavor it carry

thanks for watchiing mate and for taking the time to comment

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Hello Ahmed it is good to see that all is well. Thank you for your informative videos.

  • thank you my dear friend for ur complements and support,,m glad these vids were as entertaining as they shld be

    cheers

    ahmad

  • You were right about Habana Daydream. I love this tobacco. It's now my top pipe tobacco. It even beats Dunhill Nightcap.

Somehow it's better than Billy Budd. I guess it's the perique spice kick. Definitely, higher nicotine kick, rounded off with a subtle sweetness.

  • then i guess we match in taste mate,,for me its on the the top 3 list and although it varies from night cap in concern to the component but it fells like having more body to it and taste is more rounded but defiantly better than billy bud and i guess perique goes very well with the cigar combination,,m drawling for it now i guess i should mk my order faster

    cheers

    ahmad

  • you realy should consider to be a presenter ... you are very suitable for show business...

  • thanks galbi,,truly appreciate ur complements and support,,now i feel my head is 4 inches bigger

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Do you ever break in a pipe with your flakes or plugs? With flakes if you are using the air pocket method, then it seems to defeat the purpose.

  • hello mate,,well plugs flakes and twist are not suitable tobacco to break in a pipe bydue to their soil and flake consistency which will leave many gap n empty spaces on the wall un covered by the produced carbon,,as for the air pocket method i dnt recommend using it alot unless the pipe hv a proper cake in the heel or else the cake will b formed on upon the first 2/3 of the walls leaving the heel un protected

    cheers

    ahmad

  • A very enjoyable video Ahmed, I will try plug myself now, and look for your recommendation plug you showed here. Nice pipe as well. thanks, -Rob

  • Thanks Rob iam very pleased to know ht u found this vid to ur liking ,,plug tobaccos hv much to them than the ribbon cut and cn be enjoyed throughly if smoking them is perfected,,thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave this nice comment

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Ahmad, you and I need to be friends. We have a lot in common.

  • if we r not already one then ill hv the pleasure to be so

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Man, you have taught me so much about pipe smoking. How often do you inhale the smoke? You are so cool. I enjoy listening to your vids. Thank you.

  • hello mate,,iam most grateful for ur complements which mk me feel honored to know tht i hv contributed to this community and made these vids as useful as it should be,,,i try my best not to inhale since i stopped tht yrs ago but sm times un intentional ones happen but still not tht big amount nor keeping it inside for long time,,thanks again for stopping by

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Great video. I've never tried plugs before. Are they fuller-bodied smokes than ribbon cut?

I'm a cigar smoker first and foremost, but I do enjoy a pipe from time to time, but I find most blends, even fuller-bodied English blends lacking somehow.

I smoke aromatics for room note only.

You have any suggestions on pipe tobaccos that might satisfy a full-bodied cigar smoker. I've tried Billy Budd and Dominican Glory. I preferred Billy Budd, but still lacked sufficient body.

  • hello mate,,thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave this thoughtful comment,,as a cigar smoker i would higly recommend plugs flakes and twist for u especially the last 2 in a way tht they last longer and burns cooler with a deep natural note to it,,black xx rope tht i still enjoy is full bodied blend tht u cnt go wrong with,as for cigar blends i found billy bud good but wts more full bodied tht i cn recommend is havana day dream..hope this helps

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Thanks buddy. I appreciate your quick response. I will try black xx and Havana Day Dream.

  • Have you tried Revor Plug? It's quite strong and only available here in the UK. A nice smoke though.

  • hello mate,,,ive tried tht one long ago and it was quite similar to irish flake in away of strength and the fire cured tobacco and this one hv the same similarity tht goes however its more bulky n stiff thn revor plug and hv a slight sweetness to it

thanks for viewing thiis vid and taking the time to comment,,greatly appreciated

    cheers

    ahmad

  • thanks for the demonstration & review, Ahmad. I've yet to try pipe tobacco that's not ribbon cut, so your video will come in very handy when I experiment with plug tobacco in the future. happy you know what! MM

  • hello mate,,,happy puffing it is aeh? well a ribbon cut is the second easiesr one to prepare after the cube cut one which is ust stuff and go but u still hv to try plugs flakes and twist,,three of them r bit more exotic but defiantly a journey worth taking until then

    cheers

    ahmad

  • hello mate,,thanks for ur time spent watching this video and ur hearty complements,,i love this music its from an album i dorecall as trance opera,, the first track is named by "Habanera" while the second one goes by the name of "harry to hospital-oleantus interlude",,hope this help and thanks again for watching

    cheers

    ahmad

  • The music you have in your background is enchanting, I know the first song is a remix of Carmen, but what are the track names, If you don't mind?

Very cool video, too. You know your stuff

  • Thanks for the review, as a I am interested in getting this plug, but I don't think it is on sale yet, here in the U.K. I have tried Revor plug but it is not quite as solid as the Peterson closer to a very thick flake. Plugs are very traditional tobaccos, so it's nice to see someone bringing out a new one.

  • hello mate,,thanks for the sweet complements ,,i tried few other plugs but this one hv solid taste to it,,ive smoked revor plug way bk ago but i cn tell tht they do hv a similarity although this one is way more solid formof pressed tobacco i think tht they will get this tobacco to UK soon as one of our fellow pipers Tim hd already got a tin at southhampton

thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment on this vid

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Ahmad could you use a vegtable grater to shave of the flakes instead of a knife?

  • hello mate,,well in a way i dnt think tht is possible as the blog will break down into a randomly oriented pieces and the plug layers r bit to thick to be grated using this way,,knife work great especially serrated edges one

thanks for watching and commenting,,always apprecaited

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Wonderful video.. i just brought some of this, it came today - your video was perfectly timed.. Cheers, Tim

  • hello mate,,always look foreward ur thoughtful comments and complements,,i can already feel tht u loved the stuff since u already a fan of irish and univ.flake although its more in btn irish and golden slice flake,,m sure u gonna find away to review it ur gorgeous way

  • I have resisted plugs so far, but perhaps I ought to give it a try

  • well i do assure tht u will love the taste of this full bodied blend beyond the fact tht their preparation is aint as practical as the mixtures but sure they cn last u for a quite long tasty smoke,,,cheers

    ahmad

  • Fantastic Ahmad, It is very informative information. I was a little hesitant to buy it because I don't know how it taste like. Now I shall give the 3 P's a try!

  • indeed it is my dear friend,,,from my take on this full bodied blend it do smoke like dream with no bites and it dose hv a considerable amount of strength to it cheers

    All the best, Eddy
