  • I spent 4 months (1967 june - september) in Dar and got very precious memories.

The sea shore in Mjumema, those roasted potatoes or whatever it was they sell in the streets, the best bananas i ever tasted , the vast Jimkana club's grass fields, the monkeys visiting our yard the rich flavour Mango, Pineapple, the palm beachs and many many more very precious moments.

  • Wow. We'll be there in October. My first return to Tanzania since I left in 1966. I grew up in Tanzania. Nina furahi sana! Please look at my video on this site :-)

  • ...Yes, I was there too...but couldn't have lived there, Very colourful and wonderful for few days but too chaotic, the traffic never ending!

Your video show a rather tranquil Dar, may be a lot of backstreets and no daladala and no noise or music....wish it were like that!!

But my memories of Dar are very fond all the same. I loved the people there! Hope to go back again this October. Was there in 2008
