Thanks to Dr. Robin Terranella ; I never knew mag cit did that. Is there anything like side effects or is there other over the counter vites & minerals that lower blood pressure?
Magnesium Citrate is one of the best absorbed types of magnesium. Magnesium Oxide is very poorly absorbed and (unfortunately) the type in most supplements. Citrate is very well absorbed, unfortunately also quite expensive. With a balanced diet, with the foods the doctor describes here, you don't need a supplement.
just drink lots of water cause our body's don't store salt we have to consume it in order to live,it middle ages people were being killed by salt deprivation.
magnesium supplements are AMAZING at lowering my blood pressure and keeping an AFIB attack at bay. They work really quickly too. I take 600 MG a day and it keeps my bloodpressure down and my heart beating like a clock, nice and steady. Magnesium is the wonder mineral if you ask me!
@ZR1Terror Go to you local heath food store pickup some Magnesium Citrate and take some 3 times a day. I do a 200mg pill 3 times. Without a doubt your pressure will come down and you WILL feel better. Also keep an eye on your potassium levels too. A few bananas a day and some OJ will do wonders for your blood pressure as well. Dont forget to keep your salt intake in check. Good luck let me know how you made out. I wIsh you well my friend!
@ZR1Terror There is no harm or risk at all with magnesium my friend...thats the beauty of it, you cant overdose on it. The worst thing that can happen is you get the runs if you take more than you need. Start off with a 200mg a day and increase it till you stool becomes soft, but not runny. That is your ideal daily dose. Doesnt take too long to feel better on Magnesium when you are deficient. I noticed the difference right away, in blood pressure, feeling more relaxed and sleeping better.
@ZR1Terror Walmart should sell them...GNC and any other health food store will have them for sure. Just make sure its Magnesium Citrate, its the best form and most easily absorbed.
If you have serverly high blood pressure you may benefit from taking some prescription beta blockers. Magnesium and potassium are great and keeping an eye on how much sodium you consume on a daily basis is important, but if things are out of control you may do very well to get on a blood pressure medication until you can sort it out. I'd definitely start with magnesium and increasing your daily intake of potassium/ limiting sodium and talk to your Dr about your pressure. Good luck!
@EGMAG Take enough magnesium so your stools are soft but not runny. Balance your potassium intake with your daily sodium intake. Get your potassium from natural sources IE/ Orange juice, potatoes bananas etc intead of supplements. A bit of exercise helps lower blood pressure too, you dont need to do anything heavy a daily walk helps. Good luck
@niggersRnasty i have seen the effect and no i wasnt feeling disgusted or repulsed. this is a biological process in which lipid material is made soluble in water by the use of proteins. the separation is due to density difference and not solubility. it is a beautiful system.
