I think my point didn't reach there somehow. Collectively the bird can work things out and achieve things greatly because they all simply contribute themselves to the their society. Unlike man who seem to look everything else but themselves as a herd of pigs.
this is amazing. I've never seen so many birds..or bats. It looks like smoke. I wish you zoomed in once in a while, it would have been nice, I still love it the way it is.
There is no doubt that these are bats. Most Romans know about them. There are plenty of caves and ruins in Rome for the bats to congregate. You can see a similar phenomena from different kinds of bats in Austin. The bats are being hunted by hawks.
I have no idea if they are bats or birds. I thought they looked like birds because they were all over the place, on trees and power lines. If you look at the bottom right of the video, you can see them resting on the trees. Does anyone know if the Rome central train station is a resting spot for a colony of bats?

I think it's amazing birds can do that without ever running into each other.

I saw a similar thing a couple different times. It is so amazing to watch. I took it for granted though.
The location I saw it at, I thought I would just go there and on my next visit I'd see it again. Wasn't to be.
I finally have your video 20 years later. Thanks!
