Cyclone deserved to die. To burn out almost all important modules during a battle is something that should be punished with the loss of the ship. To burn one module can happen. But to burn everything is just stupid. You can deactivate overheat. Hope this information helps.
@Asdayasman i didn't want to insult your skill. It was just the first thing that came to my mind when I saw all the modules burning away in a bonfire. I understand that in the heat of the moment things like that happen. The Cyclone is build from rust and awesomeness. And a bit of Tritanium but not much. I love it.
@Asdayasman in an Empire war I was flying a halve skilled alt, flying a Rupture. First I killed a Caracal (nothing special), then a Drake, which was nice, then a Raven (T2/PvP not too bad fitted). But the Rupture got it. If you want fun, fly Minmatar, if you want tears, fly Caldari. Not that other races have no decent ships. But Minmatar have the fun ones. And we have at least two fine ships in every class. Other races often have not even one decent PvP ship in a class.
@BasicCypher Jesus skills skills skills. You need V'd active shield and cap skills, IV'd neuting skills, IV'd T2 gun skills, and V'd navigation skills, to run the Cyclone well.
Some people are retards, though, and fit missiles instead of neuts.
@Koba4329 Yes I have, but in a 1v1 active tank especially for a ship that gets a massive armor rep boost is a way better choice than to use a gank fit brutix. Don't get me wrong a gank brutix has its place, but in a 1v1 its a bad choice.
@THiNK103088 If you're wanting to go armor then the Myrmy is the far better choice and it also gets the armor boost bonus. Glass Brutix can work in pvp, I've done it. It's alot easier to do it in a group though, I'll give u that. Get a noob to shoot at your freinds Drake then drop in on top and rip them to shreds with your Glass Cannon laughing all the way. By time they even think to switch targets.. boom, dead. too late. lol.
@Asdayasman Generally when someone asks you that question it tends to mean that they don't have the isk for both, I think that the ideal answer to this question would have been explaining which is better for pvp and which is better for pve (I don't fly minmatar so I wouldn't know).
@Salah9999 They both do admirably at both. If he wants one for a specific task, then he can say so, detailing the task in question.
As I posted somewhere I forget, you need to be specific in your task definition, too. If you say you want something for PvP, I will simply recommend "a ship". He didn't even go so far as to let me know whether he'd be undocking. I literally can not help.

Anyway, I was flying an active tanked ship, not a buffer one. If that's the case, you're not dead 'til your pod's in space. You can always boost your shields that one last time. Buffers, however, are gone once they're gone.
@Salah9999 Passive bats are dead once they're past 32.5%, aka peak recharge.
I have tried the passivecane, back when it was all the rage. I didn't like it. The armourcane gets the same bang, tanks the same, and has space for some ECCM or whatever you want. If you want to shield tank a cane, nano it, but if you're doing that, why not get a Vaga?
i Loled when you burned out your scram and MWD :P and then when your cap booster whent out in flames, i actually thought "this is it.. your out" but i guess you had got enough range to the brutix..
I was actually keeping an eye to your Invul waiting for it to burn out 2 :P
To go out of a fight with only guns, booster, invul and a sliver of structure intact.. is a close one :P

Didnt see them for more than four weeks. P3-EN often is closed for intruders now. Hydra is coming with small cruiser gangs. Some other guys drop with Blackops or moms... another bad story I think, :P But nevertheless. Life in nullsec is the best. I never want to go back to Empire. :D

Second thing: Why do u start off with overloading your invul, thats just stupid. Dont overload every mod u are running more overheat = more heat damage = you cant run your overload for just as long. remember to stop heating your scram (again stupid since he is already in range).
last thing: if u are in cap trouble: turn off your neuts, i bet they are only small ones.
you won a 1 vs 1 against a fail fit brutix in a even more fail fit cyclone, woop, tip, you overheat if you need it not before you fight....... a "real pvp fight" brutix would have warped out in 1/2 armor

Overloaded resists: I needed to tank hard at the beginning, 'cause his guns were on.
Overheated scram: Forgot.
Turn off neuts: 1 med, 2 smalls, they were what turned off his guns, and let me win, marginally.
