I Love this ride and i live in NY but my aunt live in Va so i go down there to meet her and we have a great time at kings dominion and busch gardens but down south rides are great like apollos chariot intimidator shockwave griffon and especially the Alpengeist which is proably the best ride i ever been on

@taytaykat16 well yeah because it i a free fall BUT if u go second row u dont feel it! just get yourself used to rollarcoasters so what i mean by that is dont go on it first if you dont want to See my friends went on it first but i was to scared to and that made me scared of other rollarcoasters like the Alpengiest but it i went on a water ride and got used to the drop then the Loch Ness Monster and the alpengiest and at the end of the day i went on the griffon and LOVED it!

this is the awesomest coaster bg!!! i just went my 1st time yesterday and it was great! at first, i was terrified but then i just did it and by the time we were going up the hill i couldnt even be scared because there was no turning back! i ended up loving it! it goes so fast but thats one of the best factors. and on this ride, you didnt even get that feeling in your stomach like on others. and trust me, the flips are nothing! theyre actually really really cool! and im afriad of heights!

@FoxieEnvy I think you should take a chance and ride it . I live near Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and my first ride was Gwazi . After noticing that it wasn't that bad I took my chances and got onto Montu which is like wise to this . I enjoyed it so much that eventually i conquered all the rides at BGT . You should do it .

I rode in the front back and middle and only got off with this feeling that someone shoved there hand up my ass and pulled out my stomach i dnt get sick on roller coasters but i hated this one but hey its still a world record and a credit in my book

@banana18183 lol this really wouldnt be a starter coaster. Try Loch Ness Monster, Then Apollos Chariot, then this, then if you really think you can, go on the Griffon!! Thats the ultimate coaster.

@banana18183 Rollercoasters with turn drops like this don't usually make your stomach go! It's the straight drops that do it. Loops don't either, as you're experiencing a positive force all the way round.

So if you don't want your stomach going, go for a coaster with a turning drop and inversions. Or just go on griffon and get over your fear =P.

Easily the best inverted coaster around. This was my first real roller coaster I went on and it had just opened that season, 1997. I was so friggin nervous while waiting but once the train went down the first drop it all went away and I fell in love. Finally convinced my older brother to go on who actually pussied out at first then we ended up riding it 5 more times in a row. Anyone know if they still sell those Abominable Snowman Alpengeist statues at the gift shop? I still got mine

Love the ride, only problems were the sharp turns into the cobra roll and the block break. And of course how the break slows down the ride before the 2 corkscrews at the end.

We got 2nd place! we stayed at the great wolf lodge amazing hotel! when we went to busch gardens the next day i rode that ride and in the middle of the ride like right about where that break was I almost fainted because I got really dizzy from going upsidedown so many times and then I got of and said "Can we go again???"

When I went to BGE yesterday with my chorus group, this was my favorite ride there. We went on it 3 times just that day. The only thing bad about it was that I wanted it to be longer...I must agree with you that the food at BGE was over-priced. I came in with $40 and came back with just $2. I spent it on 1 smoothie, 1 churrio, briscut platter, cake, 1 drink, and ice cream sundae.....
