If so I totally disagree, people need to understand that bands are made of people, and as people, bands need to grow to stay alive and strong. Mastodon does this perfectly.

@skkeeper I agree, metalheads need to stop being so butthurt about their favorite bands progressing in their sound if they actually put thought and creativity into it and don't instantly change overnight - The Hunter has been coming ever since Blood Mountain, and even Spectrelight is in the same tuning and similar type of riff as songs like Iron Tusk. Don't like it fine, but don't act like they're total sellouts.

@skkeeper I totally 2nd your thoughts on the Hunter and bands progressing. Band's can't keep on making that same album over and over....Leviathan and Remission are fucking great, but they can't keep doing the same thing..I think the Hunter is fucking great..IMO

@doc998 i think it's either that there was a technical issue or an oversight that meant there was no footage for that bit, so they took footage from another song and made it work. or it the editor mistook that piece of footage for the correct one. either way its very strange, he's not singing in the mic and brent's playing a different riff. if you're worried about mastodon having mimed or anything i wouldn't worry. had they had their vocals been on backing track it would have sounded way better.

@chrisbooth24 i think that its just the recording..everyone re-record merely their live performance or at least mix it a bit...so what happened here IMO is that they re-record the vocals maybe and lay it over the moment where he didnt sing..its simple..

@BloodDrunk17 Nah, chris is quite right; the problem is more simple though - the footage from that camera simply comes in delay. If you'd read the vocalist's lips when he's near the mic, you'll see he utters "...follow" - then the sung "...follow" kicks in a delay. Pay attention to the guitarist as well - he seems to play a descending scale when there's a single note strumming, and then - voila! - the actual scale swiftly follows.

(Can't believe I still don't know their names. For shame!)

@unliborator My guess it was Bill too or someone screwed up the editing of the audio/video when putting this dvd together. It happens again at 2:23. as much as i like Troy,Brann, and Brent's vocals, i still think Bill should have more vocal duties!!
