Syclones and Typhoons have permanent awd with 65% rear and 35% front power distribution, That awd system is more or less the best you can get for fast launching. Give that stock Syclone some mods and a proper driver and it will eat the Denali alive. Still, that Denali goes like hell!

Syclone's are all wheel drive, whenever it senses the rear tires spinning hence the rear tires breaking loose, it locks in the front driveshafts and thats when the truck launches forward because the breaks couldn't hold it while he was brake boosting. @Justin87GN That and also every car on the planet does 70% of it's braking in the front therefore the tires in the back would be allowed to spin. That is why in a RWD car you hold the brakes and the car doesn't go anywhere because the front brakes hold it back. Yeah that guy is a douche and has no idea what he is talking about.

even though the Denali is new and worth probably 60 grand +/- i would still take a Syclone/ typhoon.. in twenty years that denali is gonna look like an 85 suburban, and the syclone is gonna still be a piece of american history, and people will still be Drooling over GMs great idea to HotROD the s10 pickup

Hard to belive that just a supercharger bolt on will give the denali enough power to beat a Syclone... I run away from those all day long in my Typhoon and its not even running right... I call BS on the 3/4 throttle... look at the footage...looks like WOT to me =\

denali makes 325-370hp stock depending on if it has the vortec motor or if it has the lq9 motor. both are VERY fast and both are fucking awesome. gmc pride yeeeeaaaa

Typhoons are 5.3

And for those of you who are amazed that a denali beat the syclone, put another 10 years into the syclone and see what happens. For a truck/suv thats almost 20 years old, that thing HAULS ASS!!

Probably supercharged, intercooled, custom exhaust, cold air intake, etc. etc. because that is the only way a 5,000 lb. denali could ever keep up with a truck half its size.
