Perhaps I am a barbarian - but watching this video, I felt impatient! I wanted so much to flood this painting with Zinc White, strong at the horizin and then gradated out over sea and sky. After it had driend, it would be followed by
glazes of cyan, yellow and magenta, gradated out in places, followed by an overall ambient glaze of, say, golden yellow, and then crisp touches of opaque impasto! Would all that have been so bad?

realistinc paintings are hardest to do.. it is the most dificult task because it takes percision and someone who sees world in detail.. i praise the man who did this painting i know how dificult it is.. and whoever sais otherwise doesnt know much about painting

Dont do. Even not getting your perfection it doesnt meam I am not a happy person painting. I am 39 yo with only one paint semi-finished I hope get better in one year. Learn alone is all I am doing with no acess to brushes and books in my language. I said I cant reach your perfection because I cant (yet) but I keep trying and I will. GBY God bless you

Yes. while some people love photograph others love painting. Simple. I like both when painting, not so "perfect" like him just because I can't.
