Oh, David, thank you! I was intent on making the

music merge in a way which flowed as smoothly

as the ambiance created by The Sherman Bros!

They have written more film score songs than

any other partnership. Maybe it helps that one

brother now lives in London while the other

remained in California! : ) They're still at it.

They also wrote Ringo's "You're Sixteen."

Thanks, Vic. Bobbie Gentry fascinated me and everyone else with her sultry Southern Gothic narrative song: "Ode to Billie Joe." That was in the late 60s. Although Hushabye is generally sung by a mezzo-soprano (I think), this earthy American singer more closely reflects the womanly passion that Niky transmits in her Italian vocals. Warm rich toned female. Much more Peggy Lee than Julie Andrews! : ) The same is true of Krall, as you say! And our Beate, aka "Freedaaa" here on YT! And our Marilyn!

Rob, you're such a guru of sound mixing and cyber technicalities which fly over my head whenever we speak of them (notice my Jack Lord pompadour?), I feel very proud that you approve of how I handle the sound in my videos -- especially this blend! I buy simple software and push it to its limit rather than feel overwhelmed with sophisticated software and its intrinsically infinite choices! This was surely and 11th hour production. But for a good cause. And a smile during a day of tears I hope! xo

Sabine, my mother remembers the audience reaction

when Bambi's mother was killed. I think it must have

been a controversial creative decision. But one which

potentially saved many a deer ever since! Opa for one

put down his double barrel rifle and only shot photos

in his more enlightened days. They did eat venison

during the Depression, but, the need to do so was

not an issue after WWII. You're so right about Niky
