Personally I've found that anyone who thinks putting the window down a little will work have never sat in a car where the only flow of air was the window down a few inches. Especially in a car that is either dark or has a dark interior. The only way windows really work when the car is still is when there's a strong breeze and they're at least half of the way or all of the way down. Even then, I wouldn't leave a kid or animal in there.

Professional dog handling police officer(s) to have caused this to happen is outrageous. As the interviewee in the clip says, people don't often realise the consequences, despite their best intentions of lowering the window and providing water. Surely, the police should have realised if anyone should!! There should be severe repercussions for this. They have in the least failed in their professional role and have most likely broken the law. Moreover, it's cruelty for sure!! Disgusting!
