Not so long ago I saw one minority group abusing another minority group. I couldn’t believe they hadn’t thought of their commonality, pooled resources and faced the real enemy. My best friend - who isn’t gay but specialises in sub-cultures - thought for a very short time when I told him of the incident. He replied with amazing insight. “It’s pecking order. No one wants to be at the bottom and will do almost anything to climb the social ladder, even one rung at a time.”
It's quite frustrating to encounter with people like that but unfortunately, this world is made of all sorts of "values" and all sorts of concepts for what is good and what is bad. I'm not gay and I do think that those guys who attacked your friend and yourself are just poor-minded persons that tries to bring others into their abyss.
It will take long from all the preestablished concepts of "moral" to evolve, but it's on his way. We're all just one bunch of the same recipe, people need to get that.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend being attacked. That is so horrible and unnecessary. In society there will always be cowards who feed off of hate and fear. I believe in Karma, so eventually it will come back to these people, but in the meantime it's important to stand up for who we are and continue to fight for our right to be accepted and treated with respect. -Steve-
Very courageous is a non-violent soldier who stands up with only his spirit and his faith in humanity to guide him. I'm a straight chick so I don't understand how that *REALLY* feels, but it speaks about our consciousness as a whole (humans); just know that most of us love and appreciate diversity.
To all those people that have been attacked - verbally, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - for being themselves, for who they worship, for the colour of their skin, for their sexual preference, etc - remember to forgive those that attacked you, remember that they are in a bad place in their beings, remember that you are important, remember that you don't need external justification from anyone or anything.
Fuck that shit!!! These haters mustn't come confront you. They must go confront themselves! They must look deep inside themselves. We are all made of love, so if you hate there is something you're missing, something wrong with you.
If you live in love your life with flow positively. Stop hating! Start living!
I wish we could just pack up all the ignorant people, KKK members, Killers and child molesters and just send them all to another planet ! They are a waste of space, tax payers money and wasting the oxygen that could be used by good people that do exist in this world.
Nando, I was bullied all through high school, and at 37, people still think it is okay to pick on me at work. I started just saying, "Really, is that how you talk to people?" I remember being chased by gay bshers in chicago, running to our cars after being out for the night at the bars on Halstead....they would wait for us. Unitl everybody changes what they are teaching their children there will always prejudice. I wish there was an answer to this.
@queendiva73 It's hard to go through these things--but there is power in numbers--and if we speak the truth and no longer hide in fear--we are reclaiming our power. Thanks for leaving your comment and sharing with us.
