Ben Moody left first, John LeCompt and Rocky Gray are both in We Are the Fallen and Will Boyd left in 2006... so yes Amy Lee is the band and she takes the decisions... However I don't underestimate the other members... I absolutely adore Terry Balsamo and Tim McCord ... BUT I must mention that when I personally speak about the Evanescence I refer to the whole band and not solely to Amy Lee

@hyder81 more like a copy of lacuna coil not nightwish. evanescence started out with a much more gothic/industrial sound on their album "origin" that closely resembles lacuna coil. then they became goth/pop rock as opposed to symphonic power metal

whatever you guys say, she sounds and looks a lot like amy, so much that from first sight you easily confuse, you notice she is not when you look more. You gotta think that not everybody has this super musically trained ear to difference between her and amy and the music, most of the people actually doesnt really know... Not everyone is a pro, any "simple person" WILL confuse them :D

I laugh at you guys who complain about the comparisons with Evanescence. How about this. Why don't you enjoy both! :) Clearly if you are an Evanescence fan and you say they sound the same (Which they don't, just the tone of the songs makes you feel that way) then why complain? Best of both worlds. :)

@elinorncis You're exactly right. And if you don't stop and think about her not hitting high notes in this ACOUSTIC version, you'll notice how beautifully she sang this acoustically. Like really, taking this song and doing it in this setting and doing that good of a job is impressive.

You guys DO realize that she doesn´t sing "those notes" because it is an acoustic version of the song, and not because she couldn´t hit them, right? She easily CAN hit those high notes, just watch the video of recording this song or live recordings (not acoustic ones). I´m not a huge fan, but I can hear. It´s obvious that she really can sing and is a great singer. And I´m also sick of comparing her with Amy, their voices truly are different ( both are great, of course ).

to be honest, every single live performance by We Are The Fallen has disappointed me. It's great that they can make awesome music in a studio. The only problem is Carly just can't hit those notes... like ever. It's annoying...

@hyder81 more like a copy of lacuna coil not nightwish. evanescence started out with a much more gothic/industrial sound on their album "origin" that closely resembles lacuna coil. then they became goth/pop rock as opposed to symphonic power metal

@elinorncis excuse me? Did you just give Ben Moody the entire credit for Evanescence's songs? Ben Moody wrote some songs yea that's true but he didn't write a single song from their second album and he only wrote some of the stuff from their first album.
Secondly, ill say what everyone else knows. Don't make a band named after Evanescence's first album and expect not to be compared to them. That's just dumb.

I am a newfound fan of We Are The Fallen! I am a HUGE FAN of EVANESCENCE( ILOVE ev) I wish people would STOP putting down WATF and comparing them to Ev or ANY other FIMALE fronted BANDS. @tehmedulla overall I agree, I think Ben is stirring the drama up changing stories all the time saying he would not do old evanescence songs then doing them, it's disappointing, I am a fan of both carly and amy though and I don't understand the people taking the old evan wars out on carly, she didn't do anything wrong, she finally got her career and I wish her well, I hope she doesn't get pulled into the drama.
