when you are detuning oscilators ( in thiq case with cents ...hundreds of a semitone ) you are NOT adjusting the phase .

The phase is the startpoint of the waveform and thus has nothing to do with pitch adjusting , but when 2 oscilators are slightly out of tune and play together , they are out of PHASE
