  • Comment removed

  • he sings this beautifully.

  • Finally! Some chinese SOUL music with strong vocals!

Anyone know any other Chinese singers that sing like this? The closest thing to this style I can find is Gary Chaw or Khalil, and much as I like Khalil, his type of soul is more calm, something like John Mayer...

  • I would clearly not live as a black in Asia.

I live in France and have many integrated black friends. I cannot understand such a hostile mindset. Chinese people are terribly racists.

In China, someone who have underarm sweating will be called "ouighour",

"black" is maybe the favorite insult of school kids between them. My chinese wife think black people are subhumans. Her family always told her there's two mans she can never marry, the first are japaneses, the second blacks.

  • @lizrdski should come to Canada man. We love everyone. I'm chinese and I have a caucasian girlfriend.

  • @zaainathefireflyy

    i'm Black too xdd

  • hahah omg i never seen a black chinese singer/speaker xdddd

  • chinese and blacks are very similiar.

  • He is great, I love his voice.

  • Embrace another mans culture and its people will embrace you, regardless of race!

  • annunciation can be much better, but one great singer

  • Too bad most Chinese people cannot even remotely identify with his singing style. Most of them aren't moved at all and this brother can really sing! They don't even get it.

  • I love black people.

  • TO ************ALL YOUTUBE USERS*********SUPPORT THIS ARTIST , TYPE IN (JEFF FORCHION) HIS SONG IS SO TOUCHING!!!!NEW ARTIST

  • Wow... I have NO CLUE what He's saying, but I LOVE it!!

  • Great man. U r very professional.

  • I don't know about the soulful voice. Great voice, but kind of doesn't suit the song. Doesn't feel like a seamless fusion. Not sure if I l like it.

  • this bro fer sure sounds like ushur but lyk in chinese

  • amazing? is not enough

  • can't even understand some parts, have to look at the subs,he isn't that good imo

and the last thing chinese songs needs are lyrics about love, seriously almost all chinese song are about love.

  • His voice is amazing.

  • I have heard this sing in Mandarin many times, what i like about his version is he is singing it in soulful manner 100%. I did not recognize the song until he sang the main chorus.

  • I am impressed, and happy to watch

  • hey that is so great to see.

  • great voice, very well done.

  • OMG,the old brother sing the Chinese song better than me.

  • OMG,the old brother sing the Chinese song better than me.

  • some of the people in the audience look so bored...

even tho the guy is so fucking pro.

    probably some chinese racists.

  • @itchyo they would be "bored" with anyone. open expression of emotion of not very asian.

  • nigga can really sing! and cheat chinese girls

  • MARRY ME

  • i swear asians are good at EVERYTHING except keeping on beat... i mean wtf?

  • @JackCaoArt Your such as racist ass. You don't use the "nigger" to describe a dark skin person.. that just too racist. Go F yourself.

  • @HARDisTHEword U bitch fucker im black idiot

  • @JackCaoArt fuck u if your black or not bitch, make comments about your damn self ,and stop direspecting ur own race,u ignorant asswhole..

  • @wilelmore Fuck you white boy did i disrespect?? i said the nigger can chinese Epic. is that wrong now sucko my dicko and stfu bitch ass punk

  • This guy is awesome. Notice the people clapping off beat...LOL

  • Love black people voice is so soulful. On the other hand, rapper .....

  • 混合左黑人的R&B果然好听多倍XD

  • @kukacheng I concur

  • great!

  • This guy is Nigerian. His name is Emmanuel Uwechue. He uses the stage name "Hao Ge" in China.

The funny thing was he never started learning Mandarin until he moved from Lagos to China in his 20s!

  • This brotha man really kicked my ass. He can sing in Mandarin well!

This is what I call Chinese Soul.

  • feeling like jazz.

    good job, man. keep going.

  • this brotha is good

  • did the world know...what especially east asians like chinese poeple are rassists^^ they dont kill but they never will accept you as a chinese person...always you will stay as a foreigner...forever and always!!!!!

  • OMG IM IN LOVE!

  • BLACK PEOPLE ALWAYS HAS GOOD RYTHM AND VOICE

  • woaa

  • he speaks a better mandarin chinese than mine!!——why??i am chinese ,man!!

  • @MAHANTING then u can go to hell ,r u serious?

  • @MAHANTING Right. It's like saying how some Chinese who learned English all their lives can speak better English than me.

  • From now on, all chinese ballads should be sung by afro-americans. There's so much soul in their voice! Great version!

  • Let me break it down like this..... Awww yea....

  • I think this guy is from Houston, Texas, as I recall, he is married to a girl from Sichuan or shanghai from what I remember. But I could be wrong. I do know that an African American male was making a big hit in China by singing in Mandarin.

  • Great!

  • This brotha is my hero! He branched out from his comfort zone to express himself through music! He looked past the "language-barrier" & stay true to his craft. This brotha probably experienced some hate from his own YET he stayed strong and ignored the negative haters & racists. It's clear he has a love for "ALL people" & it shows through his magnifcent vocals of another language. Now he's singing in Mandarin & bringing Inter-Cultural PEACE through the Universal language of Music! I love it!

  • @JazzyZenBroth reading a little deep there. lol XD

  • @JazzyZenBrotha how do you know this was out of his comfort zone? he could be born to do this. you never know...

  • @TelleyVision - I could be 'born to' be an astronaut and live in the international space station in orbit around the earth. But it would still be out of my 'comfort zone'. That's the point I'm making. And by the way, I mean all this in a positive way.

  • @JazzyZenBrotha WORD!!! W.E. SANG SOUNDED GOOD TO ME!!! AND I AGREE WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE!

  • awwwwwwwwwwwww...omg good job

  • What is he singing about? I don't speak Mandarin.

  • @Chimpangel

missin' out on love. being desperate, yet patient to meet the one... typical love song, ha.

  • I really like this song and how he sings it.

  • His Chinese is pretty good and understandable. I'm Chinese and I think stupid Chinese artists should practice their English pronunciation before they attempt to sing in English. I just listened to a singing competition in China and the girl sing in English like shit, and the judge let her pass. They obviously don't understand anything she's singing, but either did I.

  • @NathanLee0921 Can you link the video? I want to see just how bad this person is, heh.

  • stop saying nigga guys.. he is human... stop racism..!!

  • @robinsamma :Thank you!!!!

  • Beautiful version!!! I love this song and this boy just make it more special!

  • hey stop it its my chinese religion

  • I love this guy, he mixes my three 最爱好 in life! Music, Chinese language, and Black Guys!!! By the way, I am not African, not Chinese and not Musician! I love him!

  • I love what the guy sing. His Chinese is really amazing

  • DAYUM!

  • whoa...chinese soul.

  • style like "A du"

  • blackanese!

  • I like it. It shows the soul from a blackanese man. Only if there were more of them.

  • I wish everyone could understand, speak, and write in all languages then this world will be very interesting, and I wish God gave us the natural ability to do that, wonderful voice with soul.

  • That's a great voice. He must be West African... well I am West African so would be nice if he was from Ghana or Liberia or Nigeria maybe?

  • he's better at madarin than me and im chinese

  • he is a true blacknese

  • omg...I.Have.To.Share.This --- beautiful voice

  • forget the language hes speaking! its a great voice!

  • He is amazing because of his interpretation of the tune. He's given it extra stuffs I didn't hear from the other versions and Wong Faye is my all time Chinese singer.

For one thing, he's got soul and its nothing about skin color or being foreign speaker even though he sin't a great singer (or perhaps very tired here).

  • Nigga, u are the next black chinaman

  • amazing.................just like my kids they black but they speak good mandarin and cantonese .

  • A glimpse into a future a 100 years from now when everyone speaks English and Chinese fluently. I love it!

  • great men

  • This is EXACTLY what Chinese music was missing; a little love, peace... and soooouuullll

  • @Jamille85 racist fuk

  • @Jamille85

apparently you have no taste on music.

  • @Jamille85 I know that's right.

  • 好厉害

  • 好!我也会去中国,然后成为一个歌星。 非洲人牛鼻!

  • he's great. but this is a chinese song. am not totally keen on the 'soulification' of it.

understand he can't help it. but still .....

  • R&B twist! lol

  • To Chinese people: this is what American people mean when we say "soul music". LOL

  • 非常好!

    Great voice!

  • Comment removed

  • super cool

  • Beautiful voice and sang with emotion!!! Love it.

  • White people are considered devil. Every one will have turn for revenge. LOve china

  • If this man was in america, he would be jacking cars and trying to steal my grandma's purse, but in china he is a star. How bias right? Bias is only in those that feels it, those that don't, aren't bias how ever way they speak it. To me this is a well respected person, plus he got a lot of pretty chinese girls. Congrats!!!!

  • @zmanthao I dispute with that. He does have an amazing voice. Yet I reckon there is always a fuss about a non-Asian speaking Chinese in China, to whatever level.

  • Comment removed

  • Black people have a great voice since they born, which it a GIFT!!

if they learn all the kind of languages from others countries... I bet they could be great singers ever for sure.

  • @dnajohnny African Americans tend to speak standard English and also Black English. Our African born relatives tend to speak 2 or more languages as a matter of course as a daily normal life thing. Africans who immigrate to the usa tend to loose some of language diversity the longer they stay here from one generation to the next. In other words, being in America can "dumb you down" all under the guise of "fitting in". LOL

  • @xuxu4life : Fuck you GOOK!!!

  • @xuxu4life : Please do not address him as nigger man. If you don't know his name look it up!!!!

  • i loove it (:

  • I'm not amazed but happy that i see a black man to have spent time to learn Chinese, unless he was born and bred in China then nvm xD If we all just forget about skin colour we could all make this happy world then what it is now..

  • (Sigh) Simply beautiful.

I'm African American and learning the language now. It's so much fun, and my Asian brothers and sisters are an Awesome and great people. Man we can add frickin SOUL to anything LOL!! The young people love it, but I don't know aout the older generation.

  • Wow! He could make a lot of money. I knew a black lady who sang in downtown Tokyo on the weekend in Japanese and they paid her $900 for being on stage for 10 minutes.

  • awesome!

  • chinese r&b

  • this nigga is buggin whats he doing in china singing gospel music in chinese hahaha

  • @617tnt :Fuck you!

  • He is from Africa, not an American, I read bio about him in Chinese, A great story, his patents are teachers, brothers are medical doctors in Africa, non of family support him to sing, but he love to sing so much , he won the champion title of this Chinese idol contest proud his family.

  • WONDERFUL

  • What. Is. his. NAME?!

    I WANT HIM!!!!

  • Alot of foreign women marry overseas black-american so they can get legal status in US

  • @assmonkeyification : Give me a break Asian women marry white men by far.

  • Wayne Brady is so talented.

  • @Stabberface lmao but no don't think that's him : )

  • A big WOW!! R&B version of this song sounds sooooooooooooo freaking good... He's got it in him~ And he reminds me of Brian Mcknight.. Cool vid...

  • oh man he's english his chinese is fab man

  • Blackanese?

  • Wayne Brady!

  • blacks sing the best!!!!!!!!!

    afromania.

  • I'm glad to see such diversity. This really gives me hope for humanity!

  • he sings it better than the chinese could. Chinese just dont have the right voice to sing like the african americans or spanish

  • @TechnoUndercity

what makes you say that you freaking racist.

  • @doggyboyboy sorry for offending anyone, but i am not racist. Being racist means to hate a race and I definitely do not hate the chinese, in fact i really do like them. Although I should probably rephrase my statement to "many chinese people cannot sing". The truth is I can hardly find a chinese singer now that really has the voice. Compare a philipino, black or latino singer to a chinese one. I am not by any means "hating" the chinese, so you have no right to call me a racist.

  • @TechnoUndercity Because they hardly speak english moron! They sing in their native language. Or maybe they're not interested in voice lessons or band camp.

  • @TechnoUndercity There are plenty of excellent Chinese singers. It's just that, for the most part, Chinese music doesn't lend itself to the vocal styles of contemporary American pop. So, Chinese singers typically do not sing in a way that perhaps the average Westerner would appreciate.

Similarly, some of the best singers in the world are in opera, but they're not often recognised next to the Beyoncés and Christinas in the industry.

  • @dark14 yeah i see where you're coming from. I never looked at it that way. I was by no means trying to be racist although the things I've said were unthoughtful on my part.

  • @TechnoUndercity

you should actually broaden your sights. Every single one of us is limited by our own perception of this world. The world is so vast and we are so small therefore to make statements like "comparing latino, blacks, filippinos as better than chinese singers due to your own experiences is unfair."

It's like me saying hey i think chinese are better mathematicians and more intelligent than blacks etc would be offensive.

PS that style of singing is R and B......

  • @TechnoUndercity

and not every single musical style requires you to over sing like that. Only gospel, r and B and soul music requires one to over sing like that, therefore all becos someone doesn't over sing doesn't mean he's not a good singer.

  • @doggyboyboy Yeah I get what you're saying. But wouldn't that be a matter of opinion? I mean maybe we're all wrong and there isn't a scale for singing at all. Because where would you draw the line to who is good and who isn't?

  • @TechnoUndercity

nope that's not really an opinated matter but rather a factual one. Look it's up to an individual whether he's a good or bad singer. You made a stereotype of comparing 3 very different races of ppl and commented that they sang better than chinese ppl which is wrong and offensive.

Remember that fat dude with the bowl cut that can sing even better than whitney houston? He's chinese.

  • @doggyboyboy I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying. Although I admit it was wrong of me to say that they dont sing well and I apologize. But how would you rate a person for their singing then?

  • @TechnoUndercity

You don't know that there was a fat dude recently that won a singing competition cos his rendition of i'll always love you sounds even better than whitney's? I think he appeared on the ellen show.

Which part do you not understand? It's good that you admit you were wrong. As for me rating whether how someone sings it's solely my own opinion but still it's shared by huge numbers of ppl. There are different genres of music out there that require different styles of singing.

  • @doggyboyboy Fair enough

  • @TechnoUndercity ...shut up bitch

  • @assmonkeyification my my don't you sound intelligent

  • I don't need to act or sound anything sucka. I ain't no actor.

  • @assmonkeyification i never said you 'acted ' likeanything, in fact i'm quite sure this is your regular state.

  • @TechnoUndercity Yeah, It's called the state of grace. Asshole

  • @assmonkeyification actually it really isn't.

and i meant to say Natural state.

Do you even know what state of grace is? because it has nothing to do with this conversation. Go ahead, look it up.

  • @TechnoUndercity why don't you go back to africa....
