  • is the narrator tom hanks?

  • Star Wars meets Resident Evil

  • Star Wars version of a zombie game. Nice.

  • so.... its like deadspace but star wars? fail.

  • @mxdvotion And by "Fail" you obviously mean "Awesome".

  • Rakghouls have been in star wars for a long time, even before KOTOR. They were first sort of mentioned in one of the lucas arts comics about the muur talisman.

  • lol I remeber in KOTOR when I fought the rakghouls, I said "Thank god this is just a Taris thing". 11 years later -.-

  • They need a dungeon group finder

  • Lol zombies.

Srsly wtf is up with zombies in games these days?

Are we being prepared for some kind of zombie apocalypse in a not so distant future?

  • @MysteriusMalfunction They've been in Star wars for a LONG time.

  • Comment removed

  • so.. jedi/sith vs zombies?

  • O_O OMG !!! SW is now zombie game!!! Bioware u scruvd this game Q_Q !!!

  • game looks shitty

  • @Michaelara95

    Comment looks shitty

  • God there is a lot of bickering going on here. Rakghouls are not "zombies" per se, but there's no doubt BioWare intends for this to be their take on the genre.

  • @MRTIPJ

  • Rakghouls aren't new to star wars.... so whats all the fuss about ? There is already a full planet (taris) full of those ! since launch. They're not new with this patch ....

  • If this kind of uptades will be regular i can safely say that they got 1more subscriber

  • EVERY ZOMBIE GAME RIPPED OFF ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS!!! GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT GUYS! Play the original KOTOR and stop complaining

  • @evthemev

    Thank you

  • takes me back to KOTOR.

  • Oh yay, Left for Dead lightsaber mod.

And yeah, rakghouls aren't undead. But then in this day and age for zombie movies/shows/games/books/etc. most zombies aren't undead either. they are just "infected".

    Just. Like. Rakghouls.

  • Seriously, idiots are still playing WoW with Star Wars paint? Play an actual game like MW3, casuals.

  • @TheEvoXFreak u say and actual game, and u chose to say "MW3"? haha u made a funny

  • @TheEvoXFreak omfg <3333 mw3 is like so good! it doesn't feel like i've played the same game since 2007 at all ! This whole game could be watching chewbacca taking a shit and it would still be more entertaining then Mw3

  • @TheEvoXFreak haha, trolling guy.

  • this looks awesome.

  • God this game is like the Titanic. Except the ship does not learn from hitting an iceberg the first time so it keeps crashing into more and more icebergs and claiming the holes in the hull are features of the ship. GOD DAMN THIS GAME IS TERRIBLE.

  • is that commender shepards voice?

  • I miss the rhakgouls from kotor 1 they looked creepier back than tho

  • so what are these things? a parasite?

  • Wrath of the lich king already happened...oh wait..

  • I think the similarities between zombies and rakghouls outweighs their differences, so one could understand the confusion. Certain characteristics are always gonna be categorized stereotypically by the general public, so no need to get all starwarspedia on there ass u nerdfags, yea this goes out to all you clowns trying to showpony ur assburger intelligence.

  • @cakemaphoneige Come off it mate. I'm a soldier and I still know that shit. So technically I'm one of these "nerdfags" your talking about. Not saying I could smash your ugle face in with my little finger, but lets face it, it would probably happen. But I expect your the sort who would cry if I even looked at you funny.

  • this games graphics makes me want to eat cream and cheese!

  • @rhysric i didnt , but doesnt make a good idea. Zumbies in SW ? switch to a terror movie/game gender fag , better for blizzard to make more mistakes like pandas in wow .

  • @cromor0

Are you that thick or what they are not Zombies you moron they are Rakghouls, Infected Humans who turn into Abominations not Zombies

if you played the first KOTOR game then you would understand but it looks like you haven't my friend since you said the same think yet again in which is incorrect, there are no Zombies in SW moron know your facts before saying something stupid

  • @rhysric What about the book Death Troopers ?

  • @rhysric the name doesnt means nothing , infected humans with no will = zumbies . Whatever if ppl played KOTOR or not , isnt a good idea ON MY OPNION like u or not.

  • @cromor0

I Think it is a good idea, something different and people like you are stupid to realize it, we could know more about the Rakghoul Disease in this story since it was not full explained in the Original KOTOR but you sir just want it to be the some boring Star Wars Theme or people judging on the story without playing it and btw they are not Zumbies they turn into Monsters not stay in their Human form. God Play the story before judging it be Thankful

  • @rhysric oh, "some boring sw theme" .... this boring sw theme just made around 4.3bi dollars.... not a big deal , nice if u want to apply zumbies, oh sorry, Rakghouls in a SW theme game , lets apply some non sense race also to make dumb ppl happy . /clap !!!

  • @cromor0

*Sighs* There is no point of explaining it to you because the information i am telling is not going through your thick skull of yours and we dumb people as you say will agree with me and why call us dumb while you can't understand yourself, so who is the dumb one now. Understand what the Rakghoul is, not "Zumbies" then reply to me because now your comment is invaild due to how stupid you are my friend. Let me know when you have learn then reply, Idiot!

  • Comment removed

  • @rhysric ok,on this dialog you just learned about how much money SW has made on last 30 years , you are going to learn now the definition of GHOULS "en .wikipedia . org/wiki/Ghoul",check it,LEARN SOMETHING and now try think.RAK + GHOULS = ??? . dont reply me anymore saying rakghouls are not zumbies. ppl are not so dumb to say "they are zumbies" by no reason."you need to play kotor to like it" "sw theme is boring without it" , and , stupid is your no sense thinking about game implement.

  • @cromor0

Please stop replying to me because your reason is invaild, Please understand what a Fucking Rakghoul is then come back to me i really don't want someone who is as weak minded as you to talk to me about this subject, because whatever your saying is Bullshit, please just don't bother replying because you don't understand anything i am saying. Ghouls are Folklore Monsters, I know what Ghouls are mate, don't give me that thing about me learning something while you should yourself.

  • Rakghouls?! I MUST play this game now! This seems like an interesting twist in the series; a horror-based theme. Really, I think that a shooter is better for horror, but this will at least provide some backstory for the rakghoul outbreak, aside from the "knights of the old republic" comics.

  • OMG ZOMBIES

  • 1:08

    I Hear... A Witch

  • WOW! This looks absolutely fantastic! I'll admit that at first I was saying to myself "Hmm, not very Star Wars-like". Then I watched the trailer and thought "I need new trousers".

  • And they need to make another game so I can see some new trailers. Not the ones that are made up of the game play but the cinematic ones that look even better than the Star Wars movies. George if you're listening, instead of re-releasing the same old movies, why don't you try and make whole new live action movies that based of either the current clone war tv series, the old republic, or force unleashed? Please stop re-releasing stuff we already have on bluray and DVD!

  • They may not be zombies but they look close enough to fool someone who's not familiar with the game.

  • I remember being frightened at the prospect of walking out of the undercity village into the rakghoul area. So scared in fact that the first time I played, I let that woman's husband get killed even though I was supposed to be a good character lol.

  • lol I was wondering when these things would be popping back into the star wars world!

  • STUPID !

  • TORtanic

  • Great i don't have to buy Call of duty! instead i can play nazi Rakghouls.

  • @Agileblood Too bad that they aren't zombies

  • Those Rakghouls scared me in Kotor 1 and they prolly will in this too O _ O Nice to see content updates too. Love this game~!

  • Damn some of you people need to play kotor 1 and 2 because some dont even know what your talking about

  • Ppl need to learn what the lores are of their games... These arn't zombies dipshits... Also WoW dumbshits... Pandas were in the warcraft games bunch of newfaggs

  • is this gonna be a dlc where you have to purchase it to play it?

  • HAHAHAHAHA!

    Nah nah... Really? Nah...

Oh, sorry, I'm not laughing that there are zombies in Star Wars, I'm laughing because this is literally the same exact reaction Pandas had in World of Warcraft. Some say it's stupid and following fads while others claim it was in the game years before the fad started up.

But still... Zombies > Pandas, so TOR is still more advanced in design than WoW.

  • Alot of people think they are zombies because they may of read RED HARVEST or DEATHTROOPERS which both follow the same ideas as the rakghoules in a way

  • ... theyre alot bigger when i last saw them in kotor -_-

  • WoW Fanboy:

ZOMG SHIT STAR WARS MMO JUST ADDING ZOMBIES HAHA n00Bs!!!! PANDAS ROXXX!

  • Too every dips hit who thinks star wars ripped off dead space and rakghouls are zombies, THEY'RE NOT UNDEAD GET THIS THROUGH YOUR SKULL! And btw the game they first appeared in kotor came out in 2003.

  • @TheAwesome45 further back up: dead space ripped off system shock. In actual fact, dead space was originally system shock 3.

  • @TheAwesome45

1.Zombies are not always classified as "undead" in fiction, infact the game you commented on "dead space" the enemies are not "undead", but still considered zombies.

2.Karness Muur for exampled created the virus as both a weapon and "a way to cheat death". He was infact undead and existed from the old republic era to the legacy era (40 years after a new hope).

3.Devlopers and comic writers have stated that rakghouls are infact starwar EU's version of zombies.

  • @nikushim666 True, but I still view them more as just mutants.

  • Omg at 1:09 its a witch from left 4 dead! they forgot to turn of there flash lights... and lightsabers... what reminds ragkhoul arnt zombies... but they act like them in sense of infecting sentien beings and turning them slowely, if you played kotor or done all taris quests should be clear.

  • Thats all cool shit i just wish the game actually worked for me its been 3 weeks now :(

  • Love all the WoW kiddies here who think this is a rip from Dead Space. Rakghouls have been around since KOTOR. (2003) Look it up and think how stupid you all sound. :P

  • @SoulEater707 wow kiddies huh, maybe you should listen to how stupid you sound

  • Read the star wars the old republic review: swtor a hate crime against humanity by auditory rape. Most in depth and accurate review to date.

    ROFL and now with ZOMBIES!

  • I am lvl 20 Jedi Guradin on tor and I am sick of these guys. Questing on Taris I can't go an inch without running into one of these guys. Thankfully players can't get infected. However if we could willing change from our speices into a rakghoul and back it would be cool.

  • Rakghouls have been around since kotor, too bad have of you fuckers were probably at the age of 5 at the time. That alone explains all the "omg zombies -.-" comments.

  • @pvtrex098 so what if kotor had them? this is obviously trying to cash in on the zombie trend...

and you acting all fanboyish isn't going to make the argument any more credible.

  • @Darusdei

Care to explain when exactly this "zombie trend" started, because you could name me any random year since they first released the ZX Spectrum and I could name you a hit game that featured zombies.

In fact can you name me an MMO that has human type NPCs that doesn't have some sort of zombie in it?

  • @ringosis apparently you have hard time understanding what a trend is. pick up a dictionary and come back when you've understood what you've read...

  • @Darusdei

trend - n. Current style; vogue: the latest trend in fashion.

Do you have a point? What part of what I said implied that I thought it had a different meaning?

  • @ringosis I'd wager the Zombie fad started right around when the first Resident Evil came out. It's had its highs and lows, high like when Left 4 Dead came out and low whenever a game tacks on a zombie mode like COD: World at War.

But I agree, zombies are in a lot of MMOs, mainly because they make a good visceral melee enemy with a simple weakness - aim for the brain. Hard to replace a good melee bulletfodder enemy, especially when no one cares about zombie rights.

  • @Darusdei Go play through Tatooine. You'll see that while Star Wars might have zombies, they still try to put a clever story behind them that makes them a little more than just mindless dead.

Drake's Fortune for instance had brutish demon-nazi zombies, but it had a great story so who cares if it ended up turning all zombie at the end?

Zombies won't go out of style, and it really isn't much of a fad anymore. It is mainly an excuse to have a disposable melee enemy.

  • @dshrecksBW i don't have anything against zombies or the like. in games or movies. it just sounds rather ridiculous when fanboys start defending the issue with childish "kotor had these things so it's not like we're following popular things in media"

  • @Darusdei

I think it's rather ridiculous that fanboys like you start attacking the game because it contains one of the key enemies from the previous games in the series. You might as well attack Halo for following the "zombie trend" for including the Flood in it's sequels.

  • @ringosis "attacking the game" wtf, did you even read what i wrote?

and what kind of a fanboy would i be for "attacking the game" ?

what i'm attacking is the games fanboys who can't take any kind of criticism and generally acting like fucking 8yearolds

  • @Darusdei

Yeah see you are getting confused with fanboys defending the games obvious flaws and reasonable people defending the moronic criticism this single flashpoint is getting from people like you.

There are plenty of things wrong with SWTOR, having "zombies" isn't one of them.

  • @ringosis yeah you sure are "a bit" confused since i haven't critized nor "attacked" the actual game. could you even try to comprehend what you read...

  • @dshrecksBW

Or you could play through KOTOR? Where the Rakghoul are explained at length. The things you are talking about on Tatooine aren't zombies, a Rakata is using the force to control them.

  • @pvtrex098 Lol i actually was 5 when it came out and i played and finished kotor at least 5 times before i even got interested in cod.

  • this reminded me of dead space O.O

  • zombie starwars yo

  • Patch?

  • @TheRockinDragon yep yep. That was really fast too. I'm hoping they saved a bunch of content to slowly release as time goes on

  • Damn it, rakghouls were more feral in the old republic

  • zombies, zombies everywhere

  • wasn't Taris blown the fuck off by the Sith ? or was it only the surface ?

  • @Aelkamal It was just the surface. Plus the skyscrapers were miles high making it difficult to destroy the actual surface with anything.

  • Death Space?

  • I'm eager yet frightened to face those things!

  • This destroys Star Wars image.....

  • @globemaster163 not really no, just watch the 50 comics of Zayne Carrick and play Knights of the Old Republic RPG, and the Rakghouls were always present in the undergroud of Taris.

  • WHY!!!!!!

  • @thedoom523 Agreed WHY star wars plus Zombie guy thing just sounds dum what wre they thinking. slash up zombies with a lightsaber. WHY would they slap us in the face with Zombies and if they even think of adding Zombies in mass effect I will find them and suicide BOMB them.

  • @HolyNinjaUK mass effect already has zombies, thy call them Husks

  • @doctorkurosaki Husks don't infect people, they aren't even like zombies lol.

  • @thedoom523 ur right man, so daMn right

  • 1:07 i hear . . a witch

  • Comment removed

  • they are rakghouls not zombies

  • Oh hell yes!

  • i had enough of this shit. . .! such a thing as ZOMBIES!

  • fuck those people ! fuck this game. . . ! it makes me sick!

  • People need to stop laughing at the "Zombies" Not only are rakghouls not new to canon but zombies have been done before in Death Troopers. and it was fucking awesome.

  • Damn, there seems to be alot of problems in the Tion Hegemony...

  • Zombies.... really!? -.-

  • People need to chill and stop criticizing, this is a patch. Not an expansion. This is only one flashpoint of the many they will create. So its not like the game is going to revolve around this.

  • @erfol1 Stop with your damn lies. There were no Pandas in any of the RTS's or World of Warcraft. Maybe in the books?

  • lame, GW2 plz just fucking come out already

  • Man a lot of people are pretty clueless to Star Wars lore ehh??

  • @vaju79 lol lol lol, HAHAHAHA Panda's and World of Warcraft ha ha ha? What's next rofl Pokemon in World of Warcraft?

  • @WJS6495 lol, your a dipshit, Pandaren were in the old warcraft series,,the storyline pretty much evolved around them in some case's

  • @erfol1 Yeah and my character took a shit in the game once. Doesn't make it okay to make a playable race out of it.

  • Oh god Death Troopers was creepy.

  • looks fun cant wait to play it

  • Oooh this looks very very cool - reminds me of dead space lol

  • Oooo itll be like Death Troopers...Or something :P

  • Swtor + dead space? xD

  • @xPR1NC3Yx Rakghouls were thought of before Dead Space was even an idea.

  • @xPR1NC3Yx Rakghouls first appeared in kotor in 2003 long before deadspace

  • lol lol zombies lol lol lol, ha ha ha ha zombies and star wars ha ha ha? whats next rofl

  • Where is that damn serum that we had to find? Didnt that cure the problem?

  • @cswitheyjr i sold it to that black market vendor on taris,,,soz

  • zombies

  • Comment removed

  • @sHaHiN00786 Rakghouls have been in star wars comics for years shows what you know

  • @sHaHiN00786 the rakghouls are from SWKOTOR, not a new creature per se, and not really zombies either.

  • @sHaHiN00786 Zombies are nothing new to Star Wars ;)

  • @Blacklanterntavern They're not zombies dipshit, didn't you play motor like any true star wars fan?

  • @sHaHiN00786 Obviously you don't know your SW lore, Rakghouls are a major part of SW EU lore

  • @sHaHiN00786 Are you dumb? Rakghouls aren't undead they're victims of a curse created by a sith lord who cursed a sith talisman they're a major part of the EU

  • omg this is just to much, i can't stop laughing at this shit, lol zombies and star wars ha ha aha ha ha

  • so bad lol

  • For some reason this trailer doesn't actually impress me. Idk...mixed fellingg X_x

  • Are these zombies ? i cant believe this shit is star wars.

  • @wongchinp lol noob :D this "shit is in star wars" from like 9 years now. YES 9 years. The First rakghoul i saw was in Knights of the Old Republic which came out in 2003. NO its not a zombie its a mutant. What do you want them to add ? Ponies ? Rainbows ?

  • What's this, Star Wars Vs Resident Evil?

  • Didn't you get the cure in Kotor 1? Or is it saying that revan didn't give it to the doctor canonically?

  • @AnkhOmega The cure got nuked by Darth Malak. Doctor or no.

  • if ppl at least played even just the beginning of KOTOR1 then the should be excited to see rakggouls. SWTOR is showing how they evolved and got stronger over the years

  • I had enough of them in KOTOR 1 ughh.

  • This is like that "Pandarens were already there in Warcraft III" conversation all over again xD...well atleast Rakghouls dont devide opinions nearly as strongly as those brew drinking kung fu creatures did :P

  • damn it more bloody rakghouls i had enough of these thing on Taris -_-

  • @444Darklord things*

  • @444Darklord Taris was an okay planet to many Rakghouls yes. its a flashpoint right this? more of them is always welcome

  • Infected Jedi?

  • I see**

  • I more comments whinning about dumb comments than I do actuall dumb comments... if your reading these you clearly have seen someone say the rakghouls have been around since 2003. You don't need to say it... we get it

  • @shottytheracecar At least i dont go around making stupid comments, might be just from point of view EXTREMLY RARELY from lack of knowledge.

  • haven't gotten to this mmo yet, but i loved the kotor games especially the first one :)
