Some parts are right, and other parts use the wrong harmony notes (especially the 'carry on' part. After hearing the original for so long, the incorrect harmonies really stand out. but then again, I'm a musician so i notice those things.

Considering they were doing a different interpretation of it, which any musician should have picked up on, the harmonies might indeed be changed.

At any rate, there isn't a better version of "Carry On" On youtube, and it's not even close. Did you go critique all the other versions of this on there, or just this one?

On the contrary - they weren't a different interp.... the guitar is tuned to the same alt tuning as in the original, and the vocals adhere to the CSN arrangement all the way to the "Caaarrrry onnnn" part, where it suddenly becomes all wrong. I was actually giving constructive criticism. If they would just fix that one part, they'd have the whole thing down right.

Actually, they're playing in dropped "D" and the recorded version is in an open "E" variation EEEEBE- (or something like that (it's been a while since I played it in that tuning) , so they're playing it a step down. Yes, the harmonies in the middle are not absolutely what some would consider correct, but there's 5 parts in the original recording and many of the passing notes and overtones are true the way they are singing it.

I would call it an arrangement using some of those oddly dissonant notes and overtones that exist on the original. If one were focusing on the predominant three parts on the acapella, then I could understand how it could be percieved as a mistake. 5 Stars!
