The first time I saw this was when CBS broadcast it in January 1979. It was the first TV program I ever recorded on my new VCR. I loved it and watched it to death. The tape wore out and this is the first time I've seen it since the '80s. I see now that CBS cut out quite a lot. It's much better for me now than before. Thanks.

I can't help hearing "hatto ichi ishida, kuro no taishi tanomon" but that makes no sense, at least not with the amount of japanese i know. or maybe "hata ichi, ishi da. kuro no taishi ni tano mon" could it mean something like "one banner, a stone. (because)to the black regiment soldier(emotion)." like some kind of poem? i'm desperate here.

definately a weird mix, to try to get all kind of movie goers to see this: bronson fans, alain delon fans, toshiro mifune fans; a wild west movie with a frenchman and a japanese....though no chinese, cause no major chinese actor except bruce lee at time, and no black actors, though there were lots more chinese and blacks in wild west than french or japense.
