  • that is such an ugly house :'(

  • @jackeenetta its bombay, its actually a condo in a high rise and prices are alot there cuz of over population. its the largest city in asia. so this is actually pretty nice for the city. btw your hot, im in chicago too and i loove latina chics =).

  • Peace 2 love, don't talk about something you have no clue about. Danny Boyle paid them much more than what bollywood would have paid him.

  • That's it? That's all they can give him?

He deserves more than that! O_o

    WOW

    hollywood... prejudice much???

imagine an american child was in a movie & they paid that child right away.

And this boy didn't. They use kids and just think they can rip them off

  • oh big deal danny boyle and his stupid Trust, which he only created after pressure from the media, by the way.........so what they gave him a one room home where he has to sleep with his mother!

at least get them a house where they have room to move. where the boy has his own room. he's too old to be sleeping with his mother!

danny boyle and the studio totallly ripped these kids off!

they made them work for little or nothing, becuase they didnt think the movie was going to be such a huge hit!

  • @LadyScorpio39 in india thats common lol. if they had thier own house with many bedrooms, they would end up renting out those rooms to entire families to live in lol. the property rates in bombay are very high because of its population, 20 milion + people live in that city alone. most people, who are not part of the 60% that live in slums, live in one or two room condos. i dont know which part of the city this flat is in, but very few live in houses. however his family.

  • @xgotfiveonitx his family is originally from hyderabad, india. obviously from the poorest parts of the city. houses are more affordable there and reasonable and boyle could have purached or even tuilt a brand new home for them in their home town itself. but this condo they did get them is out of reach for the vast majority of people in india. this is considered middle class there believe it or not. but you do raise some points. the boy's father died of T.B. and boyle could have paid for treatmen

  • ok the report says this condo is in a bombay suburb of khar, near milan subway. usually upper middle class stay in the suburbs and live in two or three room condo's like this. i stayed in a place like this myself once while visiting bombay. his previous home was in 'gharib nagar' which means 'poor place'. the reporter states this condo costed 20 lakh rupees, which is 2 million rupees or $40,795.51 at today's current currency conversion rates.

  • i hope that danny bole and the hollywood studios look after these kids and get paid what they deserve. if they had gotten paid what they were worth, there is no way they should still be living in a slum.

i dont understand this 'trust' thing?

if an american actor had been cast, they would have gotten PAID right away. why do they kids have to wait until they are 18 to get this so called trust?

or maybe they hope by then no one will remember, and they wont have to cough up the cash.

  • @LadyScorpio39 the problem was the parents were planning on taking the condo and selling it for money and continue living in the slums. they were refusing to allow the trust to put the condo in the children's names so the parents couldnt sell it. believe me im indian and the poor people there do shit like this.

  • @xgotfiveonitx

that doesnt matter. the studio doesnt have the right to tell the parents or the boy what to do with their money!

if it was an american actor, they would simply be paid. and what the parents do with the money is none of danny boyle's business!

can you imagine a director or studio saying to tom cruise or angelina jolie......"you only get paid if you follow these certain conditions." yeah right!!!! they would tell them to go screw themselves!

  • @LadyScorpio39 i have to agree with the directors here. the home should be in the kid's name's not the parents. and if they did sell it off and were still living in the slums, people would still have been mad saying they are still in slums even though they were given a home and then sold it off for easy cash. but one thing i was to say, 60% of bombay residents live in slums, a city of 20 million. yes these people live in poverty but thats because bombay is expensive. they had moved there from...

  • @xgotfiveonitx they moved to bombay from hyderabad. my parents grew up in hyderabad, and i can assure you they would not have been living in slums in hyderabad. while slums do exist there too, there's a giant one behind my father's home, these people would have been at least living in some kind of housing made of concrete. but then again i could be wrong if they were working as house servants, then they live in shacks.
