  • Were are the two bottom panels on the middle door??

  • 2:57 :D :D

  • hmm this is interesting..the door goes up,goes down, furhead farts, keykeeper runs off and furhead is being weird as always..yep always a great video from uxwbill but if furhead does fall enter him into the worlds dumbest carpenters tv show HaHa

  • Did I see a linksys router on top of the fridge.? Is it running DDRT?

  • @ncrdisabled Yes you did and yes it is. It's the one I bricked once upon a time, and had to JTAG it to get things back into working order. watch?v=sWohuT6PSVM

  • you know the movie christmas vacation with Chevy chase? well i think the furhead is just like uncle eddy in many ways if you know what i mean:)

  • Where did you buy that furhead? I could use one to take care of high-climbing tasks around my house.

  • @eliw4232 I'm afraid there is only one furhead. You may be able to hire him, however.

  • Furhead FTW

  • I would like to get me a shadetree mechanic garage one day when I have enough funds.

  • were is ye-old GE fridge?

  • @MyTechtime Right near the service panel. You can see its edges when I am over there.

  • @uxwbill I Saw It After I Left The Comment. Have You Done Anything Else To Restore It?

  • @MyTechtime I have no plan to restore it. It's pretty rough looking, and didn't get a whole lot better after being muscled onto the trailer. It's a nice enough fridge for the garage, and I'm sure it will run a good while longer. All I'm going to do is keep it relatively clean and fix two other problems it has--a leaky drain and nonworking condensate heater.

  • That is a rather noisy garage door opener -- our Craftsman (circa 2005 or so) is pulling an even heavier door (double-wide, and made of wood instead of fiberglass) and doesn't make nearly as much AC motor hum as that. However, it may have a beefier motor inside. But I miss our original circa-1971 opener -- it opened and closed the door in about half the time of any modern opener, and of course had no safety features whatsoever.

  • @vwestlife The chain guide rail is vibrating for some reason. Maybe it's a common thing--our old garage has a wide door driven by a late 90s Chamberlain opener and it buzzes just like this one. "Damping" the chain rail will stop it.

I don't know how old the Moore-O-Matic that was in our old garage before the Chamberlain happened to be, but it had what looked little more than a box fan motor in it...1/3rd HP Westinghouse. It was also fairly slow.

  • One thing is for sure, you can never have too many outlets, especially in a shop or garage. With a panel that large you shouldn't have any trouble taking care of all the power needs.

  • its not a light switch its a movement censer with a red eye beam.it hooks up to your garage lights

  • place a censer by the other side door so if you have your hands full the lights will turn on,you can get the censer from your hardware store,, if you would like i could send a pic of my censer to you ,just let me know

  • @WRH052970 These are not sensor type switches. They are LED lights. I do not want those kind of light switches.

  • Are you going to insulate/slash/sheetrock the garage? Me, I hate working in the cold...

  • @zed91 At some point, yes.

  • Great work!! Looks like its comeing along nicely. How much juce have you used in the garage since you installed the electrics, do you you much for what your running so far? What sort of music system are you going to install?? can't wate to see a video on that. You could put some speakers in the roof ect...

  • smashing stuff bill, you cant have too many power outlets or lights.

A mains drop cable in the center of the space may be handy, perhaps a outlet could be fixed on the beam by the lighiting so you have the drop cable option.

    its coming together :-)

  • its coming along nice. lol i have never seen safety sensors on residential garage doors hear. mmm the sound of 60hz. ye should be running that wire in channel or conduit unless ye gona put a ceiling in.

  • @V8Jagnut I believe the safety sensors for the door are now required by federal law in the US. Even the cheapest openers have them. There is also a pressure type reversing sensor in place.

A ceiling is coming in the future, though I don't know exactly when it will be.

  • lol.....I just farted,too :P

  • @Foolishpleazure That explains where it came from then...furhead has been asleep now for a few hours! ;-)

  • so, do you and the keykeeper regularly park in the garage?

  • @tubageek2006 We are now...until recently it was only possible to put one car in there. I'd like to keep my truckling in there, and the Keykeeper definitely wants to keep his Mercury in there. At some point we may try to get our mother's Buick Park Avenue in there.

  • I got the same breaker box in my house. When I was in NC, I annoyed my aunt and uncle by doing that with their dual garage doors. Yes, I'm easily amused, but I come from a single garage door household!

  • @NJRoadfan Square D's "Homeline" stuff is cheaper, but I don't like it, so I always go with the QO line. I would use service equipment from other companies, but I like the "visibly tripped" orange indicator.

Being deprived of garage doors to play with is a terrible thing. ;-)

  • It's coming along nicely. Wish I had a garage!

  • Nice job guys keep up the good work !

  • I can't wait to see the finish project Bill!

  • first view!
