Before bending over backwards going "green" realize going green requires more mining and environmental hazard based on volume of ground disturbance than nuclear energy. Yes the waste should be disposed of properly. If you want wind and solar energy, you will have to mine the world for rare earths, significantly more damage will be done without uranium mining. Hard to rationalize maybe, but true.
