I understand how thee affects of drugs can have on people especialy meth..cuz i was an addict of it for nearly 10yrs....and I feel its important to say that not every person will act or become the same way by using this drug...I can honestly say the only bad thing it did to me was put me in jail on a 500,000.00 bond and I wasnt even caught with any.I was assumed to have it.I honestly believe its not doin the drug that ruins u,its the lack of sleep,not knowing when u lay ya head down...

why if u have a beautiful wife and a GOOD JOB and lovely kids and have what u need. why would u drink and drug..i don't understand. if i could have a life with those good things in it i would not want to drug or die. i just don't understand how u can have all that and do drugs. aren't drugs for when u are miserable and have no life have no pretty wife or good job any of the things we need in life to survive. i just am confused.

How cool is it that most of his face is gone yet he still survived? That happens through determination and strenght so I take my hat off to this man for using his sheer luck to steer others away from the evils of drugs.

Been there done that. I shot myself with a sawed off shotgun and lived. It was from alcohol and I swore I would never drink again if I could do that to myself but I did. However I am happy to report that I no longer drink or drug. I still have some deoression and think about suicide sometimes thats one thing that keeps me clean and sober. I may not live to tell about it next time. I get my support through AA.

@Parkinson9999 Yeah it's amazing ! I can't believe some people are able to save lives even when the wounds are bad as hell. On the website i'm watching this from, people say "thank the lord for his ability to cure him like this". I mean.. come on.

The strongest thing this guy ever did was survive shooting his face off, other than that he's weak - weak to become a degenerate drug addict, weak to ruin his family over it, weak to cop out by trying to commit suicide, weak to flinch and not do it correctly (make no mistake that's exactly what happened), and lastly completely weak to now rely on that moment of weakness for the balance of his life by becoming a motivational speaker for money

Before you judge another human being for their mistakes, maybe you should look in the mirror and see that you have faults as well, just like everyone else. You have no right to judge someone for something you have no experience in yourself.

@snippums1 When David began speaking, he did FOR FREE! All he wanted to do was help people by talking about his mistakes. He didn't start charging until people started asking him to travel farther than he could afford. Who the hell are you to judge anyone?! I know this man personally and though he messed up (which he has admitted to and has asked forgiveness for) he is a wonderful and loving father and husband. He learned from his mistakes. Do you learn from yours?
