my dad was a gear jamming trucker all my life he use to say he was going to retire but to no end he never did i had told him that trucking is in blood and he would miss it to much sadly he passed young this reminds me of him along with a bunch of other trucking songs now he is in that truck stop in the sky driving in the roads of heaven
First i know the German Version from Johnny Hill, And also the German Version is so sad that it make me cry. It's a song that makes me very sentimental.
I love this song. I listen to it every chance I get. It was one of my moms favorite, she passed away in 1986. Listening to it reminds me of her. I love you mom and miss you so much. RIP Bea Todd
im from a trucking family we have always trucked. My cousin and me listened to this song on 8 track tape way back when we was growing up. HE died a few years ago and left a 6 year old son at the funeral i broke down thinking about little teddy bear and looking at my cousins son standing at his grave.
this song is a punch to my heart being a trucker. I come from a family of truck drivers and this song has always meant alot to me since my grandfather was a trucker.
