@zenonia3 they didn't, the last concert was displayed on transparent screens. the image did get kinda flat and weird when you looked from the angle. with this tech you can look from all angles and it still loks ok.

Actually, what people really have to figure out is how the human eye works and what can be done to create optical illusions with various media without the use of glasses etc. I think people get stuck in the Star Wars box (no offense, Im a fan myself) but if progress is to be made in this field you have to think past the "concrete hologram" and think more of an "illusory hologram" that tricks your eye into believing that something is 3d and floating in a space.

You can't have film content like he says because it would have to be a 3D image while film is 2D. You would have to scan entire scenes using technology we don't have. you would have to play CG only.

This is pretty cool to look at, but whats the point. With people dying in the world due to disease and hunger, why do people still feel the need to spend so much money on this kind of thing. Surely those very clever people could sort some proper problems out.

There are different areas of science. Science is not some big corporation with limited resources and time. The biologists and chemists work on curing disease, the engineers and physicists work on this sort of thing. These chaps probably know jack crap about medicine.

A doctor only becomes a doctor if he really wants to. Imagine a person who was forced to become a docter but actually wanted to become a butcher, would you trust that doctor, even if he passed the exams, knowing that he's doing it against his will, and while operating on you he's probably dreaming about his passion, namely butchering.
