good eye, It's actually both. Digimon are an evolution of the old Tamagotchi toys, but most people will only recognize the digivices from when the show was released.

Isn't that the "Pendulum Cycle" ? The Pen Cycle was made by Bandai Asia and it came in ver 7-10. The Bandai Asia pets sucked in comparison to the Jap and American versions.

The only good thing about Pen Cycle was that the character line-up was larger. Ver 7 combined Deep Savers 2.0 and 2.5 plus additional characters. Ver 10 was based on Metal Empire.

I heard it was damn difficult to evolve in Pen Cycle and devolution was even possible. WTF? Devolve back to rookie stage.
