About the national debt problem fix. It is not a bad idea. However:

They would still owe the central bank what it owed. You can actually consider the central bank as a foreign nation since it is not tied to the state. Thus, even if the US switched to stones as a currency, they would still have to consider the value of one stone versus one dollar.

They might finally be able to kill some of the debt though. Kudos
