  • I'll tell you who's cooler than these guys. Anybody but Paris who'll screw anything that moves including another man's wife! Of course, he'll say how much he loves Jesus but not as much as loves pussy. don't like it? tell it to my children who see their mom twice a month and a week in the summer. Hope he gets the terminal clap.

  • @theraspberry82 .... Yes the Junkyard!! in Casselberry area

  • Well it certainly moved me and you know what they say, hips don't lie. SkyDivr7

  • Saw Sonia Dada in a 1200 square foot bar in Orlando in the early 90's. Too Amazing and was hooked ever since. Too bad they are no more.

  • @secbj1 The Junkyard!

  • Bands that sound just as good live as compared to the studio are awesome!!

    Fantastic band.

  • awesome is all i can say!!

  • One of the best songs of the 90's. One of the purest voices, too. Not just the lead singer, the bass/baritone is unreal.

  • One of the greatest songs I have heard in a very long time. I heard it on a high school raido station. Columbia City High School, Columbia City, Indiana, WJHS, 95.3. I love this station. They play a lot of songs I probably would never hear. This is one of those songs and it is fantastic.

  • 1:00 WOOOOOOOOOOOOW :D

  • HEARD IT ONCE AND I WAS HOOKED!!!! LOVE THIS VERSION

  • @sherrysykes This is their song btw its not a cover

  • father time rockin out at 0:30 classic track!

  • I was lucky enough to be in a local band in Des Moines Iowa that opened up for them in 2001. They are truly very humble, and warm individuals. I have honestly never worked with other musicians in my life that were as real.

  • where is sonia dada? ok, forget the rest of america. pacific n.w. misses you.

  • Number one drinking song! After all these years still one of my favorites! They don't make songs like this anymore : (

  • AWESOME JOB LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME JOB LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!

  • This is the first time I have ever heard the original version of this song. I can honestly say I have missed out on a really great band, Jerrod Niemann version is also good to. Usually I don't like it when someone does a remake of an older song, but both versions was a treat to my ears.

  • Such A Good song those 2 dislikes i hope were drunk and accidently pushed the dislike button and i like the back round it says "TWILIGHT" This accually happend to me my boy friend cheated on me and then when i found out we had a big fit and he said "YOU DONT TREAT ME NO GOOD NO MORE"i was like me ha you the one who cheated! Then the next day he came and tried to get me back.......

These words i am about to say are detacated to my abusive ex-boyfriend never will i get back with you..........

  • This song was all over the radio when i got married in 1993. I love it. That guitar riff .. MAN!!

  • I did the same thing ,heard the country song... but man ,this is so hot. been tappin by foot 4 two days!!!!!

  • most people dont even KNOW that the country version that is played constantly is a COVER of THIS awesome band.

  • dayam this brings back memories.. these dudes really did it up right. I miss em

  • I saw them around 1993? They only had the one album out at the time. I believe it was a free concert at St Louis Union Station and they blew us away. We had to know who they were and what their story was. I saw them 3 or 4 more times in the mid 90's, each time just as good. I remember that there were 3 guys singing and only a couple of other guys playing instruments behind them. Good sound.

  • who is cooler than these guys....? Anyone...? Speak up now....You in the back...?...OK, I don't think so either....

  • What a great, great song! I miss their annual stop in Boulder, CO. up on "The Hill" on New Year's Eve. Couldn't be a better way to start off the New Year!

  • I'm still in mourning that they no longer tour, and I never got to see them live. This band didn't know how to make bad music! Everything they did was outstanding. I'll never figure out why they never made it big time. So sad!

  • Such a great band & unlike so many out there, they actually know how to sing! SO much better than all that rap crap & hiphop slop. Sorry, but I like to hear real talent, not junk.

  • @alltrouble2 this is comical as i find that alot of "real" talent in the country genre get their music from somebody else. whether you appreciate rap/hip hop is irrelevant when you acknowledge that it's probably the last genre of music that has original lyrical content. i find it sad that there's such a close minded view of music. Just last night saw Luke Bryan in concert and found it refreshing that he obviously appreciates other genres as he incorporated both rap AND hip hop "crap" in songs

  • Refreshing to hear a live version equally as good as the studio release.

  • I like SONIA DADA's original version much better than the country version. However, it gave some rock to the country stations. Im a country music fan...it is just hard to top these guys with their perfection on this song!

  • WOW!! They are awesome, get er done Chi Towner's rock on, rock on This is my song for my Ex Girl Friend, after I colored me gone this song fits great.

  • @bodidly88 i agree, it's the prefect brake up song!!!!!!!

  • Way better than that cover version on the radio...not that Niemann is at all bad, but this is waaaaaay funkier!

  • Saw them play at Slim's in San Francisco back in the day ... what a killer live band!

  • Hey, I'm an old rocker and never remember hearing this song before this year. Never would have guessed and integerated group wrote and performed it first. It lends itself so well to Country style.

  • @gonzocurt really? i'm recently becoming more familiar, dare i say fan, of country music and am slowly finding out that most of the music are covers.

  • Bad to the Bone!!!!

  • he sounds amazing live, awesome song and voice.

  • I like the original better. I'm glad I found this. I do like Jarrod Niemann's version too. And he gets props because on his album version he sang ALL the parts to it. A new fan of SD.

  • Sing it in a deep Voice,.........Lover Lover LovERR ......gotta Love live music

  • @emclaffey Which one, Hampshire, or mountain parks? I MUST KNOW!!!!!!!!!!! And since when have their been shows at the malls in Hadley?

  • saw them live in the Hadley Mall, Ma. about 15 or so years ago.....had an autographed cd too!

  • thanks heaps, we use the chorus of this song as a drinking song at my rugby union club. and it always goes down well. well done. a pretty ace cover.

  • Love this song. What a great beat & The words are catchy too!

  • I hold my hands up .. I only found this vid by searching for a "new" song I had heard... yep Jerrod Whatisface. However I cannot believe that this vid has only had 104,521 views & the other one has had over a million!!! are people daft??

  • This is just off the chain, I can't sit still, it's just the best groove I've heard in a long time. More power to you Sonia ! This is by far my favorite version of this bad ass jam. Chris and Rich brothers, are you listening ? Next album, Chris on your knees whaling, Rich open a tuned tele, blasting out the speakers ?

  • great song, personal i think the country version is better, just my opion but still both are great

  • @Clambert119 my beef with the country version is the changing of the title... and you never hear the country stations say its a cover of sonia dada...

  • @RIPPED7399 i have acually heard one station say it was a cover but didn't mention the name of band or anything. For that reason i understand and respect you opion.

  • @Clambert119

I think the Country version of this song is weak compared to the original but that's me.

  • @brdrummer0115 Bloody amazing!!!!! I first heard this in Canada recently by Jerrod Niemann, thought I might do this with a band... started looking & found this version.... omg ... this has balls!!!! I tried to post this, but nuttin' is happening :(

  • they suck

  • when i saw the thumbnail i thought it was the lead singer and was dang he got big...

  • I'm lucky, I've gotten to see tons of their shows here in Chicago (their home town), but they haven't played in quite some time. You can't imagine how amazing their live shows are. Friends who are musicians were blown away. If you want a good live sampling, buy their Lay Down and Love it Live CD. But the newer stuff is amazing too. Test pattern is incredible.

  • the band is smoking so is the cougar at 1:06 wonder what she looks like today

  • This is great!!! Love BOTH versions..... Sonia and Jerrod

  • I really miss these guys . . . . It would be magical if they decided to play together again!

  • F NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow this is gay whare is the counrty one

  • @flabbyboy123 It's Sonia's song dude !!! Country is a cover, scheeech ..... !!!!!!

  • BEST live show ever! Miss them SO SO much!!

  • CanonBlogger - i heard the country version tonight and thought the same thing! I had to search for it as soon as I got home!

  • Lover Lover is treating Jerrod Niemann much better than than those that brought her to the dance. Damn I miss this band.

  • I heard the country version the other day and thought - not bad, but not as good as ???? when they sang it. Who was that?" Now I remember - loved the studio version of this! Why is the audience not singing along and just dancing in the aisles? I can't even stop my head from boppin side to side when I hear this!

The live version is good, but the instruments drown out the bass guy. If there were 5 of him, ok, but he's gotta be heard! He's the root of the entire harmony!

  • Yeah, the country singer is Jerrod Niemann, a pretty good version. Heard him on an interview stating he wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible to keep the feeling of the song in tact.

  • wow, flipping through radio stations yesterday, heard this song by on a country station. Sounded good too, I was shocked. Was done close to sonia dada version! Love these guys!! I do not understand why all their songs didn't hit #1!

  • @ICame2PlayWithU jerrod neimann- lover, lover... yeah he did the cover, i think its a good cover as well, i didnt know it was a remake and now i do

  • @ICame2PlayWithU because grunge is better

  • @ICame2PlayWithU only thing is Jerrod Neimann was all studio

  • I love that the keyboard player is smoking...a sign of the times! Such a shame we have taken this freedom from folks who choose to participate!

  • Def up there in the best songs of all time can always have a jam to this song!!

  • I USED TO LOVE DIS SONG

  • my mom loves this song and she thinks she can sing but really she sucks!! ubt good song ;]

  • Please Sonia Dada should have 100 times more the props to begin with. This is a flawless band.

  • If I had to take just one song with me to a deserted island, baby this is it. Even better live than on record -- if that's possible.

  • Timeless....
