HAHAHA!!!! Your screen looks like mine! HA!!! XD *points finger*....wait 0_0...*looks at uploaded date* >_< *squinted eyes*.....FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKK!!! He had to of gotten a new one or fixed by now -_____-"
im sorry but is that not the 9780? I have my black berry and it looks exactly the same, bold white but it is the "9780". even says so in the back! I am wondering what screen I need for it, I dont want to take it apart. is it the 001/002 or any other ones.
@RidlerThe 9780 is just a beefed up 9700, the original 9700 is what you see in the video. You are going to have to disassemble the unit and check the back of the screen for a code as there is no other way around it.
the reason why the screen goes off is, when the screen is on, its generating heat, causing a slight loose connection inside.. (expansion so ive been told) therefore to get the screen back on again.. lock the screen so it is black, take the back off the phone case and place on a cold glass surface.. leave for a few minutes and this should work. if you dnt believe its the heat. place in the fridge for a minute and it works :) its doesnt solve the problem blackberry should fix it hope this helps!!
It's the LCD video data ribbon cable, the insulation gets cut by rubbing on a metal grounding stap located next to the cable and then electrically shorts the cable to ground. I disassembled mine, wrapped the ribbon cable with electrical tape, re-assembled and works fine now. I was getting the white screen of death constantly now it's perfect.
