I feel kinda sad for Virgil. you know...he is a health freak, thats good. But it seem like he is waaaay to hard on himself. And he practice drums or piano all the time. Its good and everything, but is it really that healhty to spend your days like that? He dont even have a girlfreind...dont even want to have a relationship!! If he wants it, sure, but man....theres something strange here....anyway, I love him and he´s drumming and music.

I met virgil in south fl during a drum clinic tour of his and i have pictures with him ,a fantastic drummer and great attitude(unlike Gregg bisonett after the drum demo of his he thought his shit didn t stink he 's to good to talk to you )but going back to virgil yea he does strike me a little odd

yeah in interviews he´s pretty sensitive I think when they say that many drummers think that hes a strange guy. I think that he is a strange guy, and its not all in a good way. I have met him too, in 04 he was in Sweden on clinic, and he could stop playing drums! On the road from Stockholm to Borlänge (a LONG road) he entertained the driver with a solo on the controlboard in the buss, and when he arrived on the stgae he quicly puts the snare and kick togheter so he could play while the

the roadies mounted he´s drumkit togheter. He IS a freak, even if he say hes a normal guy. I feel that its almost like a mind problem with Virgil, you know? "Must practice, must practice!"

After all I love him as I said. Love Planet X, hope that more people find them and start to listen to them. Maybe someone should put up Planet X songs on YouTube so they get more fans?

Some people are just wired with incredible neural energy and don't have the means to deal with it besides what they create. It sure feels normal, but to the outside person it's going to come across as a real anomaly. It's in part a byproduct of living in an information age. Loads of people are like that and they don't even know it. There's no culturally accepted methodology for dealing with that kind of mindset...maybe one day that can change.

I'm suggesting that people like Virgil just have a lot more going on in their heads than the rest of us. If that means he practices for 12 hours a day then that's probably normal for him.

Yeah. He has said that he don´t pratice THAT much, he practice like 4-6 hours only, PLUS alot of free PLAY-time on drums. Plus he plays alot on piano aswell, making ideas to Planet X and other projects. See, he actually dont practice that hard. Its only that it seem like he don´t wanna have more of an life outside of the music. Maybe he has, but when I saw him on a clinic, he said that he dont wanna have freinds or family, becouse he rather spend time for dumming..I thought like OMG..Its SAD..

If it makes him happy why is it sad? If he's happy and he relies on no one else but himself to feel happy. I think that's pretty incredible. I mean yea there are a lot of other things in life, maybe he's experienced those things and doesn't want them.

Hmm good question. Dont know what else to say. He´s fucking great to live he´s life so extreme and different. I mean, even the musicians that are the most freks in practice still wanna have a family and spend time on something else in life too, but not Virgil.
