  • The poster who commented on the condition of the green has obviously never played summer golf in South Texas during a severe drought year. Too bad that's all he got out of the video. Another great tip, Shawn. Your videos have been remarkably helpful in my continuing efforts to improve. The "braced tilt" concept has me crushing the ball like I never thought I could. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to share all these fantastic insights.

  • that is pobably the worst green i have ever seen in my life

  • @thelakinmonster That would be because it is January in Toronto Canada and we are supposed to have 2 feet of snow on the ground by this point; thank you for that productive comment! Shawn

  • @thelakinmonster silly person...thats not a green, its a brown!

  • STANKY LEG!!!!!

  • Thanks much for posting this. This shot has bitten me twice in the past two weeks when I had really good rounds going. I was in deeper rough, though.

  • Do the Phil Mickelson backflip!!!!!!

  • This is a high quality lesson. Very cool. Thanks.

  • haha i did one of these with my 58 wedge and it hit the pin and ricashaded (forgive spelling) back into a bunker.

  • Hey shawn,

Good video. where should I place the ball and should I open the club face?

  • Ball goes in the center and club face open 30 degrees;

Like doing a flop shot going on a downhill lie with a full pitch swing; Shawn

  • I tend to blade those shots if I'm off even a little.

  • Have a look at my "Golf Pro Lesson on the Slopes" video; it will show you the downhill shot; then match that with the "golf Pro Lesson Cut Flop Lob Shot" video

    Thanks for posting, Shawn

  • from my experience if you can't do a regular pitch you shouldnt be practicing more difficult shots. if you can do a regular pitch than this one is easy. just hit it a little bit less if its going down hill and a little bit more if its going uphill

  • Are you for real? That is like saying stay with the dog paddle because the crawl is too difficult of a swim technique! Come on!

  • Is it olmost like a flop shot?

    Anders

  • Yes! It is just like it and with the technique of the downhill shot like in the "Golf Pro Lesson On the Slopes Video"

    Thanks for posting! Shawn

  • Thanks for the lesson. It's been added to GOLF LESSONS (dot) TV.

  • Very useful tip Shawn ! "Skip the clubhead along the slope ..!!"
