Good video.  where should I place the ball and should I open the club face?

Ball goes in the center and club face open 30 degrees;

Like doing a flop shot going on a downhill lie with a full pitch swing; Shawn

I tend to blade those shots if I'm off even a little.

from my experience if you can't do a regular pitch you shouldnt be practicing more difficult shots. if you can do a regular pitch than this one is easy. just hit it a little bit less if its going down hill and a little bit more if its going uphill
