I live in the Boston area. Cape Cod becomes my backyard over the summer. I like Falmouth and the Islands. I also make an annual visit to P Town. But mostly I go to Falmouth, especially if I get a day off during the week.

@sega31098 Try to plan to go to a place that has activities rain or shine. I like the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Provincetown there is always plenty to do rain or shine.
We did go to Provincetown, and I had severe allergies because a thai restaurant gave me peanuts (even though I said no peanuts). It was also pouring and I got soaked even in a rainjacket.
